It may be mentioned that DVRS
is a part of transport facilitation programme of SMU under which, registration
and purchase of license plates will be completed under one roof. This process
will be completed with the help of PITB software and dealers will be able to
complete offline registration of vehicle and give license plate and purchase
receipt to the buyer on the spot. This system will save taxpayers from a
complicated procedure and exploitation by non-registered agents. Under the law,
nonregistered vehicles cannot ply on roads and this system will ensure implementation
of the law.
