BAHAWALPUR(PR)In-mates of Borstal Institute and
Juvenile jail Bahawalpur celebrated Independence Day by singing national songs
to participate in the Independence Day celebrations. Both outer and inner parts
of the jail were decorated with Pakistani flags. The building of the jail was
illuminated also. Earlier, flag hoisting ceremony was performed by
superintendent of the jail also. Later, sweets were also distributed among the
in-mates.
Sanatzar Bahawalpur organized a special ceremony
BAHAWALPUR(PR)Sanatzar Bahawalpur organized a special
ceremony in which under training female students participated in various
cultural activities on the eve of Independence Day.
Ms. Shazia Bashir and Ms. Tayyiba were
participated in national song competition while Ms. Anjum Mukhtar spoke about
hte significance of Independence Day.
The ceremony also included a quiz
competition regarding Pakistan movement which was participated by Ms. Chaman
gul, Ms. Mehwish Batool and Ms. Azra. Chief Guest and Chairman advisory
committee Sanatzar, Mrs. Qamar Shafi gave away medals and prizes among the
winners. Manager, Sanatzar, Shafiq Tabassum was also present.
--NHA&M Police beat No. 20 organized a safety walk
BAHAWALPUR(PR)National Highway and Motorway Police beat
No. 20 organized a safety walk and established a stall on the eve of
Independence Day. Safety walk was led by DSP Motorway Syed Muhammad Rizwan Shah
while students, members of civil society and motorway police officials were
also participated.
Motorway police officials distributed
gift hampers and gift caps among passengers and motorbike riders.
Independence Day flag march of rescue 1122

1122 was staged carrying modern gadgets of the department and contingent of
motorbike riders. Divisional emergency officer Dr. Asif Rahim Channer led the
flag march which started from divisional headquarter and after passing through
various parts of the city ended at the starting point.

BAHAWALPUR(PR)Pakistan Broadcasting corporation unit
Islamabad has launched a CD of six national songs which carries a five minutes
long national song written by prominent journalist, poet and intellectual of
Bahawalpur Zahid Ali Khan. The national song's vocalist is prominent singer
Sultana Sahar which is composed by Muhammad Nawaz. Aasima Zahoor is the
producer of this program while Syed Tariq Hussain Shah supervised the
production.

University, Bahawalpur, Professor Dr. Shahid Rizvi has urged to renew pledge to
play positive and constructive role by all segments of society to turn the
vision of the founding fathers into reality of establishing an egalitarian
society. He made these remarks while speaking as a chief guest at a ceremony
held in connection with Independence Day celebrations. The participating
students sang national songs, Independence Day cake was also cut and sweets
were distributed among the participants.
