DPO Ashfaq Ahmad Khan has directed concerned police officials to sharpen the vigil of all sensitive installations in Bahawalpur district
BAHAWALPUR(PR)District Police Officer Bahawalpur Ashfaq Ahmad Khan has directed concerned police officials to sharpen the vigil of all sensitive installations in Bahawalpur district. He made these remarks while presiding over a high level meeting to review the security arrangements and issues pertaining to watch and ward at District Police Office, Bahawalpur. The meeting was attended by SP Head quarter Captain (R) Ghulam Murtaza, all SDPOs of district Bahawalpur, SHOs, DSP legal Kanwer Muhammad Qasim, DSP legal Muhammad Khan, DSP organized crime Jam Muhammad Aslam, DSP traffic Muhammad Ashraf, branch in-charges of DPO office and other officers and officials of the police department.
"All SDPOs and SHOs should pay special attention to extend fool proof security cover to all sensitive installations especially where foreigners and Chinese engineers were performing their duties", District Police Officer Ashfaq Ahmad Khan urged.
DPO Ashfaq Ahmad Khan asked the police officers to take concrete measures for effective delivery services at front desks of police stations which are aimed to provide fast track relief to the people.
"SDPOs should thoroughly inspect the investigating process in their respective circles by monitoring the investigating process through in depth inspection of the investigation files", He directed.
DPO asked the SHOs to personally reach at the crime scene and conduct preliminary inquiry under their personal supervision to ensure prompt justice. He further said that police officers should keenly conduct the investigation process of criminal cases to ensure the recovery of looted and stolen assets of the aggrieved parties by paying special attention to hand over the recovered assets to the genuine owners.
"Zero tolerance policy should be adopted against operators of drug, gambling dense and brothel houses which is vital to have a crime free society", He maintained.

Board of Directors of BWMC  has elected unopposed Mr. Samiullah Chaudhry as its chairman for a period of three years

BAHAWALPUR(PR)Board of Directors of Bahawalpur Waste Management Company has elected unopposed Mr. Samiullah Chaudhry as its chairman for a period of three years. This was decided in a meeting of Board of Directors of Bahawapur Waste Management Company, here, today. The meeting was attended by MNA Mrs. Sabiha Nazeer, MPAs: - Adnan Farid Qazi, Dr. Syed Waseem Akhter, DCO Dr. Ehtisham Anwer Mahar, members of chamber of commerce: - Muhammad Saleem, Dr. Rana Muhammad Tariq, Mrs. Shabana Irfan, Farkhanda Tahseen, Sadia Yasmeen, MD BWMC Muhammad Naeem Chaudhry, DO environment, company secretary Azam Khan Kanju and other officers and officials of the concerned departments.
Chairman Samiullah Chaudhry while addressing the meeting maintained that his prime focus would be to ensure a "clean and green Bahawalpur". He said that all out efforts would be made in this regard. He further said that board of Directors has anonymously granted approval of 10 days bonus amounting to Rs. 5.35 million for the employees of the Bahawalpur Waste Management Company for their outstanding performance on the eve of Eid-ul-Azha.
While addressing the meeting District Coordination Officer Bahawalpur Dr. Ehtisham Anwer Mahar maintained that effective measures have been taken to remove encroachments and to raise the profile of cleanliness of Bahawalpur city. He further said that efforts are afoot to make Bahawalpur a zero waste city.
The meeting was also addressed by members of Boards of Directors Muhammad Saleem Chaudhry, Dr. Rana Muhammad Tariq, Mrs. Shabana Irfan, Farkhanda Tahseen and Sadia Yasmeen.
Earlier, MNA Mrs. Sabiha Nazeer and MPAs: - Dr. Syed Waseem Akhter and Adnan Farid Qazi put forward various proposals for effective monitoring of the sanitary arrangements. On this occasion MD BWMC Muhammad Naeem Chaudhry and Secretary Azam Khan Kanju briefed the Board of Directors about the functioning of Bahawalpur waste management company.


116 special persons have been provided employment in various departments Yasin Baloch

BAHAWALPUR(PR)As many as one 116 special persons have been provided employment in various departments which is aimed to turn Chief Minister Punjab's vision of bringing special persons into socio economic main stream of the country into a living reality. This was stated by senior district officer social welfare and Bait-ul-Maal Yasin Baloch while addressing a special ceremony on the eve of International white cane safety day held at district council hall Bahawalpur. The ceremony was attended by Deputy Director Public Relations Nasir Hameed, Divisional Coordinator for Blind persons Dr. Anees-ur-Rehman, President Pakistan Association of the blind Professor Hadi Hassan Rana, Senior social welfare officer Ishtiaq Ahmad, Manager Sanatzar Shafiq Tabassum, Deputy district officer social welfare Uzair Ahmad Chughtai, Blind community, civil society representatives, officers and staff of social welfare department and other officers and officials of the concerned departments.
Senior district Officer social welfare Yasin Baloch further said that a special Quota stands fixed for M. Phil and PHD classes at higher academic institutions which impart them free of cast education.
Divisional coordinator for blind persons Anees-ur-Rehman said that special persons have been awarded Khidmat cards to extend financial assistance under the directions of District Coordination Officer Bahawalpur Dr. Ehtisham Anwer Mahar.
The ceremony was also addressed by Professor Hadi Hassan Rana, social welfare officer Ishtiaq Ahmad, Shafiq Tabassum and Uzair Ahmad Chughtai. Later, 70 white canes were distributed among the special persons.

BAHAWALPUR(PR)Additional District and Session Judge Bahawalpur Shaikh Naeem paid a visit at Borstle Institute and Juvenile Jail Bahawalpur. He gave sympathetic hearing to the problems and grievances of the inmate children and issued directions to resolve them.
