Spokesman of District Coordination Office Bahawalpur has strongly dispelled the impression the District Administration is changing the "erstwhile Bahawalpur state logo"
BAHAWALPUR(PR)Spokesman
of District Coordination Office Bahawalpur has strongly dispelled the
impression being created in some of the circles that the District
Administration is changing the "erstwhile Bahawalpur state logo" and
that it had removed the term "Sadiq Dost" from it.
"The
District Administration has in fact changed its own logo, which was adopted
more than a decade ago when the system of local governments was introduced
after the implementation of devolution plan in 2001 and already did not have
the term "Sadiq Dost" inscribed on it", Spokesman maintained.
He
clarified that the need of revising the District Government's logo arose from
the fact that since the new local government's system was being introduced
shortly and the current system of District Government was to be abolished and
replaced with the District Administration. Therefore, this transition necessitated
a change in the logo since it had the words "District Government"
inscribed on it.
"While
designing the new logo, it was rather attempted that like many other public and
private organizations in the region, which design their logos around the
State's logo, the District Administration shall also attempt to bring its logo
in conformity with the State's logo", He noted.
However,
being separated in time and having different roles as well as responsibilities,
the District Administration's logo could not look exactly the same as that of
the state; more so because many of the ground realities had also changed, He
maintained.
Spokesman
further said that the District Administration had a great regard for the splendid
relics of the Nawab era and had taken practical steps to revive and restore the
same.
"Not
very long ago on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr, Therefore, a hundred years old
fountain in the Fawara Chowk was made functional on one hand and on the other
the ancient Eidgaah was repaired, renovated and decorated with lights. In
addition many other projects are still underway", He further said.
Spokesman
also said that if anyone had any proposals for further improvement in the
District Government logo, all proposals in written form in this regard would
highly be welcomed which may be sent to the DCO office, Bahawalpur.
