BAHAWALPUR(PR)Minister
of State Engineer Baleegh-ur-Rehman has said that Government has approved a
developmental scheme of constructing a workshop of MEPCO at Bahawalpur which is
aimed to expedite the process of repairing transformers and other relevant
electrical equipments which would mitigate the sufferings of the citizens
pertaining to service delivery system of WAPDA. He made these remarks while
inaugurating road and sewerage projects which were completed by spending Rs.
2.5 million at Lala Dera Sanjer in district Bahawalpur. The
ceremony was attended by Mian Shahid Iqbal, Asad Khan Baloch, Faheem Qureshi,
Akbar Khan Baloch, Syed Noor Muhammad, Shahid Abdullah Chaudhry, Rao Rizwan and
a large number of citizens.

Commissioner City and authorized officer of Punjab consumer protection council
has summoned a mobile dealer on the complaint of a consumer of Bahawalpur City.
The complainant has complained of selling him a dysfunctional mobile. The
complaint was examined by Assistant Director Legal district consumer protection
council Bahawalpur.

Bahawalpur Waste Management Company Samiullah Chaudhry vowed to mobilize all
available resources to turn Chief Minister Punjab's vision of turning
Bahawalpur into a zero waste city. He made these remarks while presiding over a
meeting of the officers and sanitary inspectors of Bahawalpur waste Management
Company. The meeting was attended by MD BWMC Muhammad Naeem
Akhter, Company Secretary Muhammad Azam Khan Kanju, Chief Financial Officer
Imran Ashraf, company officers, officials and sanitary inspectors.
"All
out efforts should be made to maintain the appreciable pace of keeping the city
clean and tidy by utilizing all available resources by Bahawalpur waste
management company", Chairman Samiullah Chaudhry noted.
He
highly appreciated the collective team efforts under the leadership of MD
Muhammad Naeem Akhter which is a short span of time had made considerable
achievements regarding cleanliness of the city. He paid rich tribute to the
dedicated endeavor of sanitary inspectors and sanitary workers of the company
for their vibrant and vigorous efforts for making Bahawalpur a decent and
comfortable urban center.
"Free
medical checkup and provision of medicines along with a sustained mechanism for
vaccination and equipping the sanitary workers with modern equipments along
with dressing them up in a proper uniform should immediately be taken",
Chairman Samiullah Chaudhry directed.
