Government of Punjab has
launched a modern agro technology driven program:Chaudhry Muhammad Shafiq
BAHAWALPUR(PR)Provincial Minister for special
education Chaudhry Muhammad Shafiq has said that Government of Punjab has
launched a modern agro technology driven program by establishing agro machinery
service centers equipped with 72 modern agro technologies by subsidizing
billions of rupees in this public private partnership initiative throughout
Punjab province. He made these remarks while talking to a delegation of farmers
and PMLN workers at Sadiqabad, here, today.
"Under
Khadim e Punjab Kisan package, this modern and state of the art streamlining
the traditional centuries old decadent agriculture system is aimed to
transformed this back bone of our economy to ensure the modern input of agro
equipments to boost the per hector yield of agro produce which would bring billions
of rupees increase of income for millions of farmers in the province",
Provincial Minister Chaudhry Muhammad Shafiq maintained.
Provincial
Minister further said that 18 districts of the Punjab province have been
initially selected for establishing agro machinery service centers which
include:- Rahim Yar Khan, Sahiwal, Faisalabad, Bahawalnagar, Wehari,
Shaikhupura, Bahawalpur, Gujjaranwala, Qasoor, Jhang, Sergodha, Ocara,
Khaniwal, Muzaffargarh, Lodhran, Multan, Chakwal and Dera Ghazi Khan.
"Out of
these 18 districts 9 fall in Southern Punjab which is the practical
manifestation of Chief minister Punjab's special attachment and commitment to
accord priority in this new initiative to the area of Southern Punjab which
would bring prosperity for our hardworking peasants and farmers of this
area", Provincial Minister Chaudhry Shafiq said.The delegation
thanked the Chief Minister Punjab for this new initiative.
Thousands of megawatt of additional
electricity has been added to the national grid by launching three mega
projects:Iqbal Channar
BAHAWALPUR(PR)Provincial Minister for cooperative
Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar has said that thousands of megawatt of additional
electricity has been added to the national grid by launching three mega
projects by materializing the Chief Minister Punjab's vision of providing
affordable electricity in the province. This has made the dark days of the past
a history which inflicted sufferings and hardships upon the citizens and the
addition of thousands of megawatts into the national electricity system has
brought comforts and accelerated the pace of industrial growth which would
further strengthen our economic system. He made these remarks while talking to
a delegation of PMLN workers and notables of Bahawalpur City at his camp
office, here, today.
"In
addition to the earlier projects 1263 megawatts of affordable electricity is
being added through the Punjab power plant Jhang while the new power projects
the contract of which has been recently signed, will deliver 800 megawatt
simple cycle power production within 14 months and 1263 megawatt combine cycle production
within 26 months", Provincial Minister Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar added.
Provincial
Minister Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar assured the delegation that Punjab
Government was fully committed to completely end the decades old load-shedding
by supplying thousands of megawatts by launching fast track mega power projects
in the province.
The delegation
thanked the Punjab Government for providing affordable electricity in the far-flung
rural areas of the province.
