Spokesperson of IUB has strongly negated propaganda of Principal Govt. Khawaja Farid College Rahim Yar Khan regarding IUB’s reluctance of shifting Rahim Yar Khan Campus to newly built site
BAHAWALPUR(PR)The spokesperson of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur has strongly negated propaganda of Principal Govt. Khawaja Farid College Rahim Yar Khan regarding IUB’s reluctance of shifting Rahim Yar Khan Campus to newly built site as published in daily Dawn and telecast on TV Channel Rohi News on Monday 4^th December, terming it totally fabricated and baseless ignoring basic facts. He said that the university shifted to newly constructed academic block and resumed academic activities on 4^th December 2017. There is no question of university’s averseness in this concern. The Principal Khawaja Farid College is habitual of deteriorating situations through unprofessional means using students and misreporting to media. During recent past, he persistently took law in his hands, tried to create law and order situation and confronted with university security staff who in order to avoid any unpleasant situation behaved patiently. His tactics of bringing students on streets and seek interference of media in official matters shout not be encouraged. The tradition of protests and violence should end. The university has already got rid of culture of strikes at its campuses. There was only one strike reported in recent three years as compared to 150 strikes in previous three years. The district management and local Additional Director Colleges should discourage the Principal for instigating students and provoking media to get involved in official matters. A few months before, he had also mobilized college students to block roads and threatened the university students and staff. He will not be allowed to sabotage the matter through unfair and illegal manner and will be dealt with according to rules and regulations. The university strictly shuns his negative propaganda and unprofessional behavior and will resolve this matter at appropriate forum including settling of ownership of a small residential compound, being used by its faculty and staff.  There is no point of involving students, misleading media and taking law in hands on this matter.
