BAHAWALPUR(PR)The
first ever Pet Show of Bahawalpur was held at College of Veterinary and Animal
Sciences the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. Prof. Dr. Qaiser Mushtaq, Vice
Chancellor, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur inaugurated the Pet Show which
included 12 breeds of dogs, 5 breeds of cats, turtle breeds, reptiles, macaws, cockatoos
and many other birds. The objective of the workshop was to promote awareness of
pet keeping in a healthy society, standards of pet breeding, flourishing the
interests and protection of pet owners and inculcate good sportsmanship amongst
competitors. On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Qaiser Mushtaq, Vice Chancellor said
that the university has shown tremendous progress in ranking of
universities and clearly shown upward trend in higher education. Apart from
imparting education, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur always contributed in
community engagement by involving the campuses in cultural, scientific and
social endeavors. On this occasion trophies and certificates were distributed
among participants of the pet show.
