INTERNATIONAL WOMEN DAY CELEBRATED AT GOVT SADIQ COLLEGE WOMEN UNIVERSITY BAHAWALPUR

International Women’s day celebrations were organized at GovtSadiq College Women University Bahawalpur collectively by the Directorate of Student Affairs and Career Counseling Center of GSCWU.The activity started with the inauguration of beautiful floral exhibition by the Worthy Vice Chancellor Prof.Dr.TalatAfza was arranged by the State Care department of GSCWU. A seminar was held on the role of women in society at Cheema Hall. On this occasion, Prof.Dr.TalatAfza Vice Chancellor of GSCWU was the Chief Guest of the event. She emphasized the different roles of women in society and encourages the faculty members to play their vital role in the development of the institute and the nation. On this event, several renowned women’s of Bahawalpur including Mrs.FoziaAyub (MPA), SadiaMajeedMrs.Habib-ullah-Bhutta also attended the seminar.On this event, Mrs.SadiaMajeed was the guest speaker. She guided the students of GSCWU to adopt Islamic views about women in their daily life.Mrs.Gul-e-Shirin narrated a beautiful poem on the role of women in society and information regarding women protection bill was given by Sonia Sahar (legal advisor) of GSCWU. A poster exhibition was organized by the fashion art and design society of GSCWU .in this exhibition student of GSCWU presented beautiful sketches of the renowned female personalities of Pakistan. At the end of the ceremony Vice Chancellor Prof.Dr.TalatAfza awarded shields and certificates to the guests and students.
