Lahore(by Our Correspondent) As a result of the efforts made
by the Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC) Punjab as many as 15 houses in
housing scheme “Eden Abad Phase-II” have been handed over to the long awaited
overseas Pakistanis. Commissioner OPC Punjab Afzaal Bhatti while addressing a
ceremony held in this connection informed that Overseas Pakistanis had booked
their houses in this housing scheme some 8 years ago but despite payment,
houses were not being handed over to them. He further told that on the
complaints of Overseas Pakistanis, OPC played its role for the provision of
houses to the affected persons. He assured that complaints of other overseas
Pakistanis regarding this housing scheme would also be addressed. Afzaal Bhatti
said that on the instructions of Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, OPC is
playing an effective role to resolve the issues faced by overseas Pakistanis. A
large number of overseas Pakistanis and officers of Lahore Development
