Akhter, inaugurated E-Court system at District and Session Court Bahawalpur.
Electronic Court system has been established under the
directions of Chief Justice Mr. Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah.The electronic
court system inaugural ceremony was held at the premises of District and
Session Court.
The ceremony was attended by Additional District and
Session judges, Senior Civil Judge, Civil Judges, IT focal persons and the Sub-ordinate
staff of the District Court.
The operationalization of E-Court at District and
Session court has provided online access to the Chief Justice of Lahore High
Court. The Chief Justice of Lahore High Court may observe the court proceedings
through this E-Court system.
Electronic court has also the operational facility to
provide video link system to conduct judicial proceedings which would enable
the judicial officers to record the statements of the witnesses living both in
the foreign country and in the far flung areas.
Later, District and Session Judge Rana Masood Akhter
also inaugurated one window information center block at Session Court complex.
The one windows information center would provide information to the both
applicants and petitioners regarding court proceedings and other relevant
information.
Later, the participants prayed for the security and
prosperity of the country.
Judges and the Court functionaries of District Bahawalpur have donated a sum of Rs. 4 Lakh and 19 thousand to Edhi Foundation
BAHAWALPUR(PR)The Judges and the Court functionaries of District
Bahawalpur have donated a sum of Rs. 4 Lakh and 19 thousand to Edhi Foundation
in recognition of the outstanding services of humanity by Late Abdul Sattar
Edhi.
The donation was collected under the directions of
Chief Justice Lahore High Court Mr. Justice Mansoor Ali Shah.District and Session Judge has sent the donated
money to Lahore High Court for its onward transmission to the Edhi Foundation.
PHA's ongoing drive to check the physical fitness on the quality of the physical structure of bill-boards and hoardings
BAHAWALPUR(PR)PHA's ongoing drive to check the physical fitness on
the quality of the physical structure of a total number of 261 bill-boards and
hoardings has found 137 bill-boards of dangerous quality and therefore, necessary
repair work of these vulnerable structures has been started by the concerned
departments.
This was stated by the Officials of the PHA & TMA
during a high-level meeting to review the ongoing work regarding the checking
of the fitness of the bill-boards, here, today.
The meeting was presided over by the Commissioner
Bahawalpur Division Saqib Zafar. The meeting was attended by DCO & DG PHA
Dr. Ehtisham Anwer Mahaar; Director PHA Qazafi bin Shakoor; Assistant
Commissioner Bahawalpur city Rao Tasleem Akhter; Assistant Commissioner
Bahawalpur Sadar Hasnain Khalid Sanpaal; Director Local Government and other
officers and officials of the concerned departments.
The meeting was informed that a comprehensive
inspection process to check the quality of the physical infrastructure has
enabled the PHA and TMA to remove vulnerable structures from the thickly
populated and sensitive urban areas.
The meeting was further briefed that all illegal
bill-boards and hoardings are being removed and the concerned contractors have
also been fined.
Commissioner Bahawalpur, Saqib Zafar while addressing
the meeting underlined the need to implement the approved standard operational
procedure regarding the installation of bill-boards. Commissioner Bahawalpur
said that security of the citizens is of a vital significance and all
bill-boards and hoarding which may pose threat to the lives of the citizens
must immediately be removed. He further directed that there should be strict
ban to install bill-boards and hoarding in the vicinity of the Masjids and
Eidgaahs. He also directed to take effective measures to have an accurate
numeration of the bill-boards installed in the city.
"Zero tolerance policy should be adopted
regarding the removal of sub standard and vulnerable bill-boards and hoardings
for public safety", he directed.

Anwer Mahaar informed the Commissioner that bill-boards have been categorized
into 4 categories and number plates would be placed along-with the date of
physical inspection of the bill-boards and hoardings both by PHA and TMA during
their ongoing drive of physical fitness and checking of these structures. DG
PHA further maintained that PHA was taking measures in collaboration with
cantonment board Bahawalpur to identify and remove vulnerable bill-boards and
hoardings.

Anwer Mahaar has said that district government Bahawalpur has finalized the
arrangements to celebrate the Independence Day in a befitting manner. He made
these remarks while presiding over a meeting to finalize the Independence Day
celebrations arrangements held at his committee room.
The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner
Bahawalpur city Rao Tasleem Akhter; Additional district collector Imrana Ajmal;
and other officials and officers of the concerned departments.
DCO Bahawalpur said that the Independence Day
celebration would commence by ringing the bells of hundred years old clock
tower at Sadiq Dean High School at 12:00 PM on 13th August. It would be
followed by playing national anthem and national songs jointly sung by the
students of different schools. The ceremony would also have a spectacular
display of fire work as a mark of celebration. The late night ceremony would
end by offering prayer for the peace and prosperity of the motherland.
DCO said that Day would dawn by offering prayers for
the glory, grace, peace and prosperity of the motherland on 14th of August. The
main feature of the morning activities would be the staging of Independence Day
parade which would be participate by Police, Rangers, Pak Army, schools,
colleges, rescue 1122 and other relevant departments.
Independence parade would also have a wonderful
display of our cultural heritage as cultural model floats would also be the
part of the Independence Day parade. PHA, Cholistan development authority,
community development department floats would also be the part of Independence
Day parade. He further said that Camel dance, Nachi goat and horse dance would
also be part of the parade.
The meeting was also apprised of that 4x4 club
Bahawalpur and vintage car club vehicles would also grace the Independence
Day's proceedings.
Later, in the day a ceremony would be held to award
1st Shan-e-Bahawalpur award to recognize the outstanding services of the
citizens.
