BAHAWALPUR(PR)Coordinator to Chief Minister Punjab
for Provincial Itehad Bain-ul-Muslimeen committee Dr. Abdul Ghafoor Rashid has
said that the missionary zeal and zest of Ulma-e-karam to ensure close and
effective inter sectarian coordination has further cemented interfaith harmony
which has established a sustainable atmosphere of Itehad Bain-ul-muslimeen.
This is a practical reflection of the strong dedication and commitment of our
Ulma-e-Karam to promote peace and tranquility during the sacred days of
Aashura-e-Muharram. He made these remarks while presiding over a joint meeting
of Provincial Itehad Bain-ul-muslimeen committee, Divisional peace committee
and high officials of Divisional administration held at circuit house
Bahawalpur, here, today. The meeting was attended by MPA Afzal Gill,
Commissioner Bahawalpur Division Saqib Zafar, Acting Regional Police Officer

trading associations and other officers and officials of the concerned
departments.
"Chief Minister Punjab's vision
of a peaceful and prosperous Punjab is rapidly turning into a living reality
through the cultural paradigm shift through the dedicated positive input of
Ulma-e-karam belonging to all sects which has created a healthy atmosphere of
inter sectarian harmony which has shaped the prevailing exemplary atmosphere of
Itehad Bain-ul-muslimeen", He noted.
He further said that Provincial Itehad
Bain-ul-muslimeen committee's endeavor to further revitalize the peace
committees right from provincial to the grass root level has yielded highly
positive and constructive results. He further said that the true teachings of
Islam promote peace and tranquility for the whole mankind. He further
maintained that under the able and dynamic leadership of Commissioner
Bahawalpur Division Saqib Zafar, Bahawalpur Division stands as a symbol of
peace and tranquility which deserves the collective appreciation from all stake
holders.
Dr. Abdul Ghafoor Rashid expressed the
hope that exemplary peace would prevail during the sacred days of Aashura-e-Muharram.
He appealed to the Ulma-e-Karam and other religious notables to continue to
play their positive role with missionary zeal.

Habib-ur-Rehman also addressed the meeting and assured that Ulma-e-karam would
continue to spread the message of peace and would keep on playing their role to
further enhance societal inter sectarian harmony to ensure Itehad
Bain-ul-Muslimeen.
Later, a coordinator, Commissioner
Bahawalpur Division Saqib Zafar and other members of the Itehad
Bain-ul-Muslimeen committee presented Bouquet to the president of Bahawalpur's
Karwan of peace Hafiz Muhammad Younus for his outstanding services for Itehad
Bain-ul-muslimeen.

electricity to the tune of Rs. 4 billion and 500 million. This was stated by
Chief technical officer Quaid-e-Azam Solar Park Sajjad Ahmad Sajid while giving
briefing to the visiting delegation of journalists of Islamabad. He further
said that Chief Minister Punjab's futuristic vision of promoting the culture of
alternating energy sources has produced highly positive outcomes which are
practically reflected in controlling the Carbon Dioxide Co2 emission to the
tune of 98 thousand tons annually. This would serve as a positive catalyst to
ensure healthy and carbon free environment. Later, marketing manager Zoner
Energy Company China Mr. David Leo briefed the journalists that his company was
engaged solar plants of the magnitude of 900 megawatts. He further said that
this project was producing 300 megawatts of electricity while the development
program was under process which is aimed to produce 600 megawatts. He further
said that 1.5 billion US dollars would be spent on this project.
