DEPLORABLE CONDITION OF ROADS OF DOWNTOWN OF BAHAWALPUR CITY

The most important and vital role in any country/City/organization's progress based on it's infrastructure and facilities  (e.g., buildings, roads, power supply etc) provided for the smooth operation of a society.

In this context, dear readers today I am trying to grab the attention of relevant authorities through this forum towards the bad/poor/worst condition of roads  of downtown/inside of Bahawalpur city.

Almost all the roads of the city are in miserable condition. The  appearance of roads like  have never  been repaired for the last several years. The surface of the roads un-even, which are full of jolts  and jerks in the moving carriages/vehicles. People specially female /senior citizens / students prefer to walk but this is also not an easy task, one might fall at any step. In rainy season there are pools of stagnant water everywhere. The drains are dirty and emit stinking smell and breeding ground for mosquitoes and constant danger of breaking out fatal diseases. For example under noted few affected areas are mentioned:-

• ZANANA HOSPITAL ROAD.
• BAND ROAD.
• SARAFA BAZAR STREETS.
• BAQIRPUR ROAD.

large and small roads are all uniformly riddled with path-holes and have dug-up. Due to these unavoidable circumstances different type of accidents are common. 

The elected members of National Assembly  (MNA), Provincial Assembly  (MPA) are always found busy in their routine work/party promotions  etc,  etc., due to carelessness these alarming issues are neglected by them. On the other hand allocated funds by Govt., for the welfare of people and state, but they  spends on their favorite or particularly favorites places. It is well expressed fact that the people paying a huge amount of vehicle taxes every year, that's why they deserve better roads or at least roads are in good condition to drive on.

It is therefore requested to the Honorable Commissioner Bahawalpur Division  (Rtd)  Capt.Saqib Zafar and D.C.O.Mr.Ehtasham Anwar Mahar to kindly probe into the matter by taking personal interest on this demanding issue by directing the concerned authorities to get repaired the roads at the earliest as well as keep your frequent visits to the different areas of city  for the relief of common people / citizens from painful and distressing roads condition.
