Bahawalpur (PR)Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC) is striving for bringing positive
change in the educational culture of the institutions. This was stated by Prof.
Dr. Mohammad Nizamuddin Chairperson Punjab Higher Education Commission during
his visit to the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. Prof. Dr. Mohammad Nizamuddin along with Prof.
Dr. Qaiser Mushtaq, Vice Chancellor, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur
inaugurated department of management sciences and attended a ceremony to
distribute certificates to Principals of various colleges for participating in
a training course. He praised efforts of Prof. Dr. Qaiser Mushtaq for bringing positive
changes in educational cultural of the university, improvement in quality of
teaching and research, fast paced developmental works and speedy reforms in
academic and fiscal affairs of the university. He also felicitated the Vice
Chancellor for completing 11.8 kilometer long boundary wall around the campus
in a record time of 41 days. Earlier, while delivering address to participants
of training program, the Chairman PHEC said that teacher’s academies will be
established in Lahore, Multan and Bahawalpur for capacity building of teachers.
Four community colleges will be setup in Multan, Sahiwal, Gujranwala and
Lahore. He thanked the Vice Chancellor of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur
for facilitating to conduct five day training course at the university campus.
