Engineer Baleegh-ur-Rehman inaugurated a development project of laying tough
tiles completed with development funds of Rs. 3.5 million at Muhalah
Mubarakpura, Mohallah Nawaban and Mohallah Meer Siraj-ud-din at Bahawalpur City.
The inaugural ceremony was attended by Chairman union council Meer
Khalil-ur-Rehman, Councilor Adnan Rasheed, Mian Shahid Iqbal, Shahid Abdullah
Chaudhry, Faheem Qureshi, Masood-ur-Rehman, Rao Rizwan, Imran, Maaz and a large
number of citizens.
Minister of State Engineer Baleegh-ur-Rehman while
speaking on the occasion said that under the dynamic and visionary leadership
of Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif Government has launched an result
oriented and sustained development paradigm into concrete operationalization
and these development projects are practical reflection of them.
He highly appreciated the endeavor of Parks and
Horticulture Authority for its beautification and face lifting projects along
with the working of Bahawalpur Waste Management Company for keeping Bahawalpur
neat and clean.

BAHAWALPUR(PR)District Coordination Officer Bahawalpur Dr. Ehtisham
Anwer Mahar has said that construction of rumps at all government offices to
facilitate the special persons should be completed by 30th of
November and special measures should be taken to place the special persons at
government offices nearer to their homes. He issued these directions while
presiding over a meeting of district committee to redress the problems of
special persons at his committee room. The meeting was attended by
EDO community development Aftab Peerzada, Assistant Commissioner Headquarter
Muhammad Tayyab, focal person for blind community Dr. Anees-ur-Rehman, focal
person for deaf and dumb Mirza Waseem Baig, focal person for physical disable
persons Muhammad Luqman, senior social welfare officer Ghulam Yaseen Baloch,
District officer special education Shazi Hashmat and other officers and
officials of the concerned departments.
"Free of cost capacity building training
courses, sports tournaments and seminars would be held for special persons to
enhance skill and awareness at district Bahawalpur", He noted.
He also directed to appoint focal person at special
education institutions to facilitate dumb and deaf persons to conduct their
official duties in the conducive environment.
The meeting also directed to the concerned quarters
to expedite the recruitment of special persons according to government rules,
provision of books, ensuring provision of special allowance amounting to Rs.
1000/- for employed special persons and concession in transport fare for them.
Schedule of election for reserved seats of local government of district Bahawalpur has been announced
BAHAWALPUR(PR) Schedule of election for reserved seats of local
government in various tehsils of district Bahawalpur has been announced.
According to the program elections for reserved seats for district councils,
Municipal corporations and metropolitan corporations would be held at 15th
of November, elections for reserved seats for Municipal committees would be
held at 17th of November and elections for reserved seats for union
councils would be held at 19th of November. Returning officer would
announce the result of these elections on 21st of November while
election commission of Pakistan would issue notification in this regard on 30th
of November and the Oath taking ceremony of newly elected members would be held
on 3rd of December. This was stated by District Election
Commissioner Bahawalpur in a circular.
