BAHAWALPUR(PR)A group of students of various schools of Bahawalpur
paid visit at District courts Bahawalpur in connection with the
sesquicentennial celebrations of Lahore High Court, Lahore. The group of
students which visited the district courts belonged to:- Government Technical High School, Government
S. D High School, Government Cant High School, Sadiq Public School, Government
Abbasia High School, Bacon House school, Allied public school, Educators public
school, Alpina public school and convent schools. The visiting male and female
students were briefed in detail about the judicial proceedings at district and
session courts performed by District and Session Judge, Additional District and
Session Judges, senior civil Judge and civil Judges to administer justice to
the people.
The visiting students visited various courts at
district and session court and watched the judicial proceedings. District and
session Judge Rehan Bashir while talking to the visiting students said that the
rule of law prevail upon all segments of society and the supremacy of law is
key to run the modern society which is practically manifested in 150 years long
splendid and glorious judicial services rendered by Lahore high Court, Lahore.
He further said that the main purpose of inviting the students to provide them
an opportunity to get them fully acquainted about the functioning of the
judicial process by various judges of the District and session court.
District and Session Judge Rehan Bashir informed the
students that district courts perform their duties according to specific acts
and ordinances while the superior courts drew their powers from the state
constitution and perform their functions according to the provision of the
constitution; therefore, these superior courts are termed as constitutional
courts.
District and session Judge Rehan Bashir informed the
students about the powers to administer justice by the civil judges regarding
disputes pertaining to property, family disputes and declaration of title
disputes. He further said that senior civil judge also performs administrative
functions along with judicial functions.
District and Session Judge urged upon the students
that they should pay special attention to enhance their awareness regarding the
significance of law which is vital to meet the challenges of 21st
century to ensure a sustainable and effective socio cultural societal order
based upon the rule of law.
Later, President District Bar Tayyab Zameer briefed
the students about the role of bar association for administering justice to the
people.
Earlier, the visiting students in the guidance of
civil judges: - Muhammad Zaigham, Ghulam Mustafa Yazdani, Shakeel Ashraf,
Shakeel Ahmad, Mrs. Afaf Aslam visited the courts of Additional District and
Session Judges:- Muhammad Younus Lar, Naveed Bari, Syed Jahangir Ali and the
courts of civil judges:- Zafar Iqbal and Serwat Batool.
The students witnessed the court proceedings and they
were briefed by the guiding judges about the various aspects of the functioning
of the courts.
Later, District and Session Judge Rehan Bashir gave
away souvenir, commemorative certificates and dairies to the teachers of the
visiting schools. The proceedings regarding the visit of the students at courts
were conducted by senior civil Judge Alim Sher.

Chaudhry Saood Majeed has said that Punjab Government is fully
committed to extend state of the art socio economic cover to the
Cholistani people which is amply reflected in the operationalizing of
water
supply bowsers amounting to Rs. 43.2 million for providing water
facility in
the far flung areas of Cholistan. He made these remarks while handing
over keys
of four wheel drive bowsers to the concerned officials of Cholistan
Development
Authority. The ceremony was attended by Provincial Minister for
Cooperative & Chairman Cholistan Development Authority Malik
Muhammad Iqbal
Channar, MD Cholistan Development Authority Naeem Iqbal Bukhari, Malik
Ghulam
Abbas, Basharat Ali, Mian Imam Bukhsh, officers and officials of the
concerned
departments and a large number of Cholistani people.
Senator Chaudhry Saood Majeed in his address further
said that Tehsil Head Quarter Hospital Yazman's service delivery system has
been greatly improved by operationalizing dialysis units and emergency block
which is practical manifestation of Government's commitment to extend decent
health cover to the residents of far flung areas of the country.
Provincial Minister for Cooperative & Chairman
Cholistan Development Authority Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar while addressing
the ceremony maintained that a special quota for cholistani students has been
reserved at Danish schools and to promote live stock on modern scientific lines
the development work of University of animal sciences at Bahawalpur was rapidly
completed. He further said that water supply lines are being revamped along
with the construction of new pipe lines and a large road network was also
underway to provide decent access to the Cholistani people. He also informed
the ceremony that the process of allotment of land has been accelerated to
protect the economic rights of the Cholistani people. The ceremony was also
addressed by MD Cholistan Development Authority.

BAHAWALPUR(PR) The balloting process for Jahaiz fund for 30
deserving females was conducted at the office of Zonal Administrator Auqaf by
the zonal Jahaiz Committee.

Administrator Auqaf Ghulam Abbas Abbasi, Members of Jahaiz committee:- MPA

Perveen, Fouzia Gul, Safia Sultan and Arifa Nasir.
MNA Begum Perveen Masood Bhatti while speaking on the
occasion maintained that Punjab Government has taken concrete and effective
measures to provide jahaiz funds to deserving females in a transparent manner
through a merit based policy. She further said that each recipient would get as
many as Rs. 15 thousand from jahaiz fund.

has said that black buck and chankara trophy hunting program 2016 was underway
to promote the wild life sports in accordance with rules and regulations. He
made these remarks while awarding Safari hunting trophies of black buck and
chankara trophy hunting program.

highly appreciated the participation of World record holder Pakistani hunter Hasham
Usama khan in the current contest. Later, he gave away trophies among twenty

boys Islami Colony Bahawalpur. The main organizers of the Children
gala were president math society Rashid Mahmood Bodla and Director Theater 21
Islamia University Bahawalpur, Agha Sadaf Mehdi. The ceremony was addressed by
Assistant Commissioner Head Quarter Muhammad Tayyab, Superintendent
Dar-ul-Atfal & Social medical officer Chaudhry Asghar Shaheen and Chairman Department
of social welfare Professor Dr. Asif Naveed Ranjha. They highlighted the
significance of providing decent socio economic cover to the orphans and hapless
children.
