                        BAHAWALPUR(PR)Commissioner Bahawalpur Division Saqib Zafar has urged upon the concerned officials to sharpen their vigil to accelerate the pace of development work to ensure the socio economic benefits of the developmental work for the people of Bahawalpur Division. He issued these directions during a high level meeting for comprehensive review of the developmental projects under Prime Minister Development program held at his conference room, on Thursday. The meeting was attended by MNA Ali Hassan Gillani, MNA Shaikh Fayaz-ud-Din, MPA Chaudhry Khalid Murtaza, Deputy Commissioner Bahawalpur Rana Muhammad Saleem Afzal, Deputy Commissioner Rahim Yar Khan Jameel Ahmad Jameel, Deputy Commissioner Bahawalnagar Azhar Hayat, Director Development and Finance Imrana Ajmal and other officers and officials of the concerned departments.

                                "Under Prime Minister development program the total volume of this mega development endeavor stands at Rs. 3 billion which include: - an estimated development outlay to the tune of Rs. 1 billion for District Bahawalpur, Rs. 800 million and Rs. 1 billion and 200 million for District Bahawalnagar and District Rahim Yar Khan respectively", The meeting was briefed.

                                The meeting was further apprised of that under this public welfare program development projects in various sectors have been earmarked which include: - Water supply, Sewerage, Education, Health, Road Networks, Building, Sui Gas and electrification.

                                "Under this development project, development schemes to the tune of Rs. 100 million and development schemes amounting to Rs. 50 million would be completed in each constituency of Member of Nation Assembly and Member of Provincial Assembly in the earmarked sector", The meeting was further briefed.

                                Commissioner Bahawalpur Division Saqib Zafar while addressing the meeting directed the concerned officials to devise the development policy framework of these schemes through the consultation process and guidance of the parliamentarians to maximize the socio economic benefits of these projects.
