BAHAWALPUR(PR) As
many as 200 Houbaras were released for accelerating the breeding of the species
in the friendly habitat of Cholistan Desert. These 200 Houbaras were especially
imported from Abu Dhabi for releasing them in the Desert of Lal Suhanra,
Bahawalpur. The project is the joint collaboration of International fund for
Houbara conservation Abu Dhabi, Houbara foundation International Pakistan and
Punjab Wild life department which released these Houbaras at Shaikh Muhammad
Bin Zaid Deer breeding and Houbara research center, Lal Suhanra, Bahawalpur.

200 Houbaras were released for accelerating the breeding of the species
in the friendly habitat of Cholistan Desert
The
ceremony was attended by Commissioner Bahawalpur Division Saqib Zafar, Director
General International Fund for Houbara Conservation Muhammad Saleh Hussain
Albedani, Acting Head of Public Relations Department International Fund for
Houbara Foundation Pakistan Ali Mubarak Al-Shamsi, President of Houbara
Foundation international Pakistan Brigadier retired Mukhtar Ahmad, General
retired Tariq Majeed, Colonel retired Ernist Shams, Major retired Tahir Majeed,
Xavier Jean Paul, Conservator of forest Faisal Haroon, Shahab Rehmani,
Divisional Forest Officer Syed Jawad Hussain, Media Persons and other officers
and officials of the concerned departments.
The
participants highly appreciated the releasing of Houbaras for accelerating the
pace of breeding of the precious species in the natural and friendly habitat of
Cholistan Desert.
