Faculty of Arts Professor Dr. Memona Ghani has highly appreciated the art and
culture training workshops jointly organized by Interactive Resource Centre,
Islamia University Bahawalpur and Bahawalpur Arts Council Bahawalpur for the
students to infuse a new vigor and sharpen the potential of the students of the
Islamia University Bahawalpur. She made these remarks while addressing a midway
session of the 5 day workshop for imparting training in the domains of
photography, documentary making and theatrical performance at the
Baghdad-ul-Jadeed campus of Islamia University Bahawalpur.
"Art
and literature play a vital and decisive role in sharpening the creative
potential of the students which shapes the intellectual landscape of the modern
society", Professor Dr. Memona Ghani maintained.
She
paid rich tribute to the dynamic and able leadership of Vice Chancellor of
Islamia University Bahawalpur, Professor Dr. Qaiser Mushtaq who has ushered a
new era of academic endeavor by promoting both physical sciences, social
sciences and discipline of performing art during a short span of time at
Islamia University Bahawalpur.
Earlier,
Professor Dr. Memona Ghani appreciated the commitment and dedication of Art
camp coordinator and focal person Professor Dr. Shahzad Rana for organizing a
series of workshops for the students of various academic institutions including
Islamia University Bahawalpur in the domains of Documentary making,
photography, citizen journalism and theatrical performance.
The
ceremony was also addressed by Maser trainer Majid Munir of Lok Wirsa, Director
IRC Muhammad Waseem, Professor Dr. Farjad of fine arts college of Islamia
University Bahawalpur, Zaib Noor, Ishtiaq Hussain, Athar Jahania and Nazish.
Later, certificates were distributed among the trainees of workshop.
