Teachers are torch bearers of moral integrity not only for students but for the whole society. In the contemporary age teachers as well as other environmental factors specially modern communication means like internet, print and electronic media are inculcating and building moral and social values of our students. All these mediums should develop high moral values and act as a good teacher. Prof. Dr. Qaiser Mushtaq expressed these views in the Azam e Aman Conference organized to conclude the campaign of “Professors Paint Canvas of Society with Peace.” He said that all noble personalities of human history enlightened the society with high moral values. They spread culture of mutual peace, respect and tolerance. On this occasion, Sami Ullah Ch., Chairman Bahawalpur Waste Management Company said that ignorance causes extremism while knowledge brings prosperity. Prof. Dr. Razia Mussarat, focal person of the project said that our society has been victimized by the evil forces who spread non tolerance and violence. The Islamia University of Bahawalpur launched this project to develop peace, moderate thoughts and tolerance in youth. In this connection 8 training sessions were organized in all the campuses and 25 top Pakistani personalities and national heroes who have brought laurels were projected as role models by displaying their pictures and messages across the campuses.
Inaugural ceremony of the face lifting and beautification of Gulzar-e-Sadiq Bahawalpur Park
BAHAWALPUR (PR)The inaugural ceremony of the
face lifting and beautification of Gulzar-e-Sadiq Bahawalpur Park was held at
the lawn of the Park. Former Deputy Speaker Punjab Assembly Nawab Mian Usman
Abbasi was the Chief Guest. The beautification of the park was jointly completed
by District Government and Cantonment Board Bahawalpur.
The ceremony was addressed by
the Chief Guest Mian Usman Abbasi and Station Commander Cantonment board
Brigadier Mansoor Janjua. The ceremony was attended by Cantonment executive
officer Zafar Mahmood, Dr. Rana Tariq Mahmood, Chaudhry Mahmood Majeed, Former
MPA Shoaib Kareem, Mahboob Nasir, Safdar Shahbaz, Jam Sohail Majeed, Iqbal
Hussain Qureshi, Syed Shahood Rizvi, Shahab Rehmani, TMO Arshad Ali Ghumman,
Civil society representatives and civil and military officials.
Both the speakers paid rich
tribute to the vigorous endeavor both of cantonment board and district
government along with Engineers of Pak Army which took effective measures for
the beautification and face lifting of the park. They also highly appreciated
the special measures undertaken by the Minister of State for Higher education
and interiors Engineer Baleegh-ur-Rehman and other philanthropists in this
regard.
Later, the participants
visited Children section, Jogging tracks, lake, water fall, water fountain and
grassy lawns of the park.
