BAHAWALPUR(PR)The inaugural ceremony of
sesquicentennial celebrations of Lahore High Court, Lahore held was held at
historic Noor Mahal Bahawalpur on Saturday night. Chief Justice Lahore High
Court, Mr. Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah was the Chief Guest. On his arrival he
was received by Senior Justice Mr. Justice Malik Shahzad Ahmad Khan and judges
of the High Court and high ranking officials of the Lahore High Court
Bahawalpur bench. At the beginning of celebrations a colorful display of light
and sound show was presented to the audience which was highly enjoyed by the
participants. Later, a symposium was held in connection with sesquicentennial
celebrations. Chief Justice Lahore High Court Mr. Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah
was the Chief Guest on this occasion. The symposium was addressed by Chief
Justice Mr. Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah, Senior Justice Mr. Justice Shahid
Hameed Dar, Mr. Justice Malik Shahzad Ahmad Khan, Mr. Justice Shahid Bilal
Hassan, Former Chief Justice Mian Allah Nawaz, President High Court Bar
Association Bahawalpur bench Nawazish Ali Peerzada, District and Session Judge

Court Mr. Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah has said that Lahore High Court's
sesquicentennial celebrations are aimed to synchronize the 150 years long
splendid and glorious judicial traditions of the Lahore High Court, Lahore to
the next 150 years future requirements to administer fair and speedy justice to
the people. He made these remarks while speaking as a Chief Guest at an
inaugural ceremony of sesquicentennial celebrations of the Lahore High Court
held at the lawn of historic Noor Mahal, at Saturday night.
Chief Justice Lahore High
Court Syed Mansoor Ali Shah maintained that Lahore High Court is the custodian
of great and glorious judicial values and traditions to ensure the supremacy of
law to administer fair and speedy justice and to protect the fundamental rights
of the citizens.
Chief Justice Syed Mansoor Ali
Shah emphasized the need to adhere to the highest standard of professionalism
to ensure the disposal of cases within s stipulated period of 6 months which
would bring solace to the common citizens who would get justice in a short span
of time instead of waiting for generations to get justice.
"Right from 1866 starting
as a Chief Court Lahore High Court has gone through a long journey and has
completed 150 years glorious march towards the supremacy of law which is vital
to establish a stable, prosperous and just polity", Chief Justice Lahore
High Court maintained.
Chief Justice further said
that Lahore High Court has administered justice with great legal acumen high
professional competence wisdom, courage and bravery which is our cherished
collective national asset.
Chief Justice Syed Mansoor Ali
Shah said that the prime function of the courts is to mobilize all available
resources with dedication and commitment to sharpen the pace of administering
justice to the people which would end their miseries and this would further
enhance the grace and glory of the judicial organ of the state.
Chief Justice Lahore High
Court further said that the effective, constructive and dedicated role of all
stake holders:- Judiciary, Bar and bench, establishment of the court and civil
administration is vital and therefore close and effective coordination in this
regard is of paramount importance.
Chief Justice further said
that interaction between all institutions should be promoted and this close and
sustained interaction between all institutions may establish an effective
mechanism to resolve all problems faced by our motherland.
He highly appreciated the role
of Lahore High Court Bar for their constructive role in administering justice
to the people. While referring to the main purpose for devising an elaborate
program regarding celebrating 150th celebrations Chief Justice
Lahore High Court maintained that 150 years long historic march for the
supremacy of law is the collective heritage of Lahore High Court all organs
which include:- Bar, Bench, District Judiciary and the establishment of the
court, therefore, these celebrations are reflections of celebrating the
collective and glorious heritage of the court which is to pay tribute to the
towering personalities hailing from bar and bench.

Court Mr. Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah has ordered to start the reconstruction
of the building of bar association of Lahore High Court Bahawalpur Bench within
the next 15 days and he has appointed Senior Justice Mr. Justice Shahid Hameed
Dar as Chairman of the committee to supervise the construction work. He issued
these directions while speaking as a Chief Guest on 150th
celebrations of Lahore High Court at Noor Mahal, Bahawalpur. He further ordered
that all development work of Lahore High Court would remain suspended till the
completion of this project which is vital to protect the lives of the members
of the High Court Bar Association Bahawalpur bench. Earlier, Former Chief Justice of Lahore High Court Lahore Mian Allah
Nawaz has brought this issue into the notice of Chief Justice Lahore High
Court.

Government has taken solid steps to promote culture of sports:Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan
BAHAWALPUR(PR)Provincial Minister for
education Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan has said that Government has taken solid
steps to promote culture of sports which is vital for the balanced
socialization of younger generation. The sports initiative would produce new
players like Muteeullah Khan and Samiullah Khan who would bring glory to our
nation. He made these remarks while inaugurating a friendly hockey match
between the teams of Government Technical High School and Government Cant High
School as a part of revival and promotion of sports projects of Government of
Punjab, at Muteeullah Astrotruf hockey ground dring stadium Bahawalpur.

Special meeting of organizing committees for supervising the sesquicentennial celebrations of Lahore High Court
BAHAWALPUR(PR)A special meeting of
organizing committees for supervising the sesquicentennial celebrations of
Lahore High Court has finalized the detailed program to celebrate this event in
District Bahawalpur.
District and Session Judged
Bahawalpur Rehan Bashir chaired the meeting. The meeting was attended by senior
civil judge Alam Bashir, members of media committee, civil judge Masood Ahmad
Fareedi, Muhammad Zaigham, Shakeel Ashraf, civil judges:- Naveed Bari, Zafar
Iqbal, Rana Shafiq-ur-Rehman, Khawer Ali, Fakhar Bashir, Muhammad Shakeel and
other officers and officials of the concerned departments.
District and Session Judge
Bahawalpur Rehan Bashir while addressing the organizing committees said that
the main purpose of organizing celebrations of sesquicentennial celebrations is
to extend public awareness to the people regarding administration of justice.
He further said to ensure speedy justice the close coordination and harmony
between bar and bench is of vital significance.

BAHAWALPUR(PR)Provincial Minister for
education Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan has said that Punjab Government has taken
solid and effective measures for decent education and socialization for the
juvenile inmates in the prisons of Punjab. He made these remarks during his
visit at Borstle Institute and Juvenile Jail Bahawlapur.
During his visit Provincial
Minister inspected jail hospital and checked the operational standard of
extending medical cover to the inmates. He also inspected various barracks,
kitchen, dining hall, hospital, school library, Table Tennis hall, Toilets
block, sports ground, waiting room and other departments.
Provincial Minister Rana
Mashhood Ahmad Khan also inspected the ongoing motorbike mechanic and electric
wiring training facilities for the inmates of the jail along with library.
During his visit Provincial
Minister Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan witnessed the gymnastic performance of the
inmates and highly appreciated their skill in acrobatic performance.
Provincial Minister Rana
Mashhood Ahmad Khan announced that gymnastic equipment would be provided to the
inmates also.
