BAHAWALPUR(PR) Progressive, liberal literature for children is vital
to promote healthy, vibrant and dynamic society. Therefore, the time is ripe
for collective intellectual endeavor to shape the minds of our young children
on sound and vigorous cultural lines. This was stated by Regional Director
Public Relations Rana Ajaz Mahmood while speaking as a chief guest at award
giving ceremony of Association for academic quality Afaq leaders club.
The ceremony was attended by Regional Head Afaq
Muhammad Arif, Coordinator Pakistan Afaq leaders club Ehsan Hamid, Deputy Director
Public Relations Nasir Hameed, prominent columnist Anwer Girewal, Mansoor Bajwa
and a large number of students and citizens.
The awards include Rehmatul-lil-Aalameen (PBUH)
literary awards 2016 and Afaq leaders' club award. The ceremony was presided
over by prominent intellectual Syed Tabish Alweri while renowned writer of
children Dr. Mukhtar Ahmad Khokhar was the guest of honour.
Syed Tabish Alweri highly applauded the literary
initiative of Afaq leaders club for producing healthy literature for children.
Dr. Mukhtar Ahmad Khokhar said that he had been
contributing literature for children for last 40 years.
"Afaq leaders club had its presence in 28
districts out of 32 districts of Baluchistan province", He noted.
Later, Rehmatul-lil-Aalameen (PBUH) awards 2016 were
awarded to Hafiz Hamza Shahzad of Kahnewal, Dr. Imran Mushtaq of England, Urooj
Taj of Bahawalpur, Muhammad Anees Ansari of Jhang, Zia-ul-Hassan of Karachi,
Ufaq Dehlvi of Lahore, Rabia Shaheen of Rawal Pindi, Khanzada Khan of Risalpur,
Rana Muhammad Shahid of Boorewala, Muhammad Naeem Ameen of Lahore, Shahana
Jamal of Karachi, Professor Khayal Afaqi of Karachi, Manzar Arfi of Karachi,
Riaz Hussain Chaudhry of Sialkot, Abdul Samad Saharanpuri of Karachi and Dr.
Aftab Muztir of Karachi for their outstanding performances in various competitions
which include:- Story writing and Naat competition.

statement.According to program a seminar would be held at 11:00
AM on 15th of December while special prayers would be held at 5:30

BAHAWALPUR(PR) One day zonal Seerat (PBUH) conference would be
organized by Department of religious affairs Auqaf at 10:00 on 17th
of December at District Council Hall, Bahawalpur. Various famous religious
scholars would address the zonal Seerat (PBUH) conference.
