BAHAWALPUR(PR)Provincial Minister for Cooperative Malik Muhammad Iqbal
Channar has said that Punjab Government is fully committed to extend decent
and comfortable socio-economic amenities by expanding socio-economic physical
infra-structure on modern scientific lines. He made these remarks after
inaugurating a project of tuff tiling at central bazar, Dera Bakha, Bahawalpur.
"Modern
and efficient road network is vital to link farm lands with the markets to
promote agro economy which would generate prosperity for the million of
peasants' community", Provincial Minister Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar
maintained.
Malik
Muhammad Iqbal Channar further said that Government has devised a comprehensive
policy framework by deploying field assistants at the grass root level to
ensure practical guidance regarding modern techniques of agro technology at the
door steps of the peasants.
"Sustainable
and effective agro based economic endeavor is linked with peace and Government
has undertaken an effective anti-terrorist endeavor through "Operation
Radd-ul-Fasaad" under the dynamic and visionary leadership of Prime
Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif", Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar noted.
The
ceremony was attended by notables, civil society representatives and a large
number of farmers and peasants.

Juvenile jail Bahawalpur, on Monday . A smartly turned out contingent of
police officials presented guard of honour to the visiting judge on this
occasion. Superintendent Central jail Bahawalpur Shahram Tauqeer Khan and
Deputy Superintendent Borstle jail Kashif Abdul Rehman were also present on
this occasion. Mr. Rehan Bashir inspected the kitchen, jail hospital, Johar
Hall, Iqbal Hall and Table Tennis Room of the inmate children. He also paid
sympathetic hearing to the problems and grievances of the inmate children and
issued on the spot directions to resolve them.

urged upon teachers to promote universal values of tolerance to infuse soft
skill among the youth which is vital for balanced socialization to meet the
socio-economic challenges of 21st century. He made these remarks
while speaking as a Chief Guest at a ceremony jointly organized by TEVTA and
Bahawalpur economic development forum, on Monday.
Minister
of State for Higher education and Interior Engineer Baleegh-ur-Rehman further
said that to accelerate the pace of socio economic development it is imperative
that our talented and energetic youth should have a complete command on
Information Technology which would open new vista of knowledge and wisdom to
formulate solid and modern looking human resource base.
The
ceremony was also addressed by Vice President Bahawalpur economic development
forum Dr. Rana Muhammad Tariq Khan, Chairman Technical education and vocational
training authority Ameer Yousuf Ali, Mr. Umer Farooq, Muhammad Akram Fani and
District Manager TEVTA Muhammad Zahid Saleem.
The
ceremony was attended by Dr. Munir Azhar Chaudhry, Baqir Hashmi, Shaheer
Hassan, Shaikh Khurram Izhar, Mian Shahid Iqbal, Kashif Farid, Naseer Hashmi,
