The
inaugural ceremony was attended by Principal Quaid-e-Azam Medical College
Professor. Dr. Ajlal Haider Rizvi, Representative of World Health Organization
Dr. Raul Boni- Ficio, Medical Superintendent civil hospital Dr. Rana Muhammad
Yousuf, Director Health services Dr. Shahid Khaleeq, Chief Executive Officer
District Health Authority Dr. Saeed Asghar, Assistant Commissioner Bahawalpur
city Rao Tasleem Akhter, Assistant Commissioner Sadar Husnain Khalid Sanpal,
Medical Officers, parents and other officers and officials of the concerned
departments.
At
the inaugural ceremony Chief Executive Officer District Health Authority
maintained that a total sum of 1077 Mobile teams, 157 fixed teams, 18 teams to
cover various business centers and 20 teams for the Cholistan Desert have been
constituted. He further said that a two day special round on 24th
and 25th of February would also be conducted to administer Polio
drops which may remain un-attended during this campaign.
Deputy
Commissioner Bahawalpur while speaking on the occasion maintained that Polio
free society is vital to establish a vibrant, dynamic and highly skilled human
resource base in the country. He urged upon all stake holders to mobilize all
available resources to play their role to establish a Polio free society by
making Polio eradication campaign a real success at Bahawalpur Division.
