BAHAWALPUR(PR)Provincial
Minister for cooperative Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar has said that
PMLN’s Government is fully committed to streamline agro sector on modern
scientific lines which
was practically demonstrated through Khadim-e-Punjab interest free
agricultural
loans which has been providing economic relief to the millions of
peasants in
the Punjab province. He made these remarks while talking to a delegation
of notables,
at his residence, on Friday.
Provincial
Minister Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar said that revolutionary economic vision
of the Chief Minister Punjab had transformed agriculture sector by providing
wide ranging economic relief through subsidies on various agro inputs which
include:- subsidies on fertilizers, pesticides, quality seeds, agricultural equipments
and bills of agricultural tubewells.
“Punjab
stands as food basket of the motherland which has been playing its constructive
and positive role to ensure food security for the whole nation as result of
pro-peasant agro policies of the PMLN’s Government”, Provincial Minister Malik
Muhammad Iqbal Channar noted.

Day was observed with zeal and zest at Borstle Institute and Juvenile Jail,
Bahawalpur. The day dawned by offering prayers for the solidarity and the
prosperity of the motherland. It was followed by flag hoisting ceremony. Deputy
Director Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Maal Bahawalpur Khalid Bashir was the guest
of honour.
The
speakers highlighter the various salient features of Pakistan resolution which stands
as the milestone in the struggle to get independence from the British Raj
through an historic, political and democratic struggle under the visionary
leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

Day was celebrated with traditional zeal and zest at Bahawalpur Garrison by
pledging to renew the unflinching commitment and dedication by adhering to the
principles and guidelines of the founding fathers to turn Pakistan into an egalitarian,
progressive and liberal state. The day dawned by offering prayers and
recitation of the Holy Quran for the solidarity and prosperity of the
motherland. Colourful celebrations were held to mark the historic day at POLO
ground of Noor Mehal.
Modern
weapons were displayed at special stalls established at the Noor Mehal. The Military
band also played national songs. The special stalls of face paintings were also
a main feature of the celebration for the visiting children. A large number of Military
and civil officers, notables and their families participated in the
celebrations.
General
Officer Commanding 35 Division Major General Amjad Ali Khan Khattak applauded
the efforts of the organizers for organizing such a wonderful event to mark the
day.
Later,
Colourful light and sound show were also organized at the Noor Mehal at night.
The students of various schools presented tableaus and sung national songs.
General Officer commanding 26 mechanized Division Major General Akhter Nawaz
was the guest of honour.

3 day books exhibition held at Central Library Bahawalpur

three day books exhibition to highlight the various features of Pakistan
movement was held at Central Library Bahawalpur. Chief Librarian
Rana Rana Javed Iqbal inaugurated the books exhibition.

BAHAWALPUR(PR) A
meeting of General body of regional tax bar association Bahawalpur region was
held at the residence of consultant income tax Mr. Asim Ali. The meeting was
attended by a large number of lawyers’ community of Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan,
Bahawalnagar and Lodhran.
The meeting held comprehensive and in-depth
deliberations to further synergize the regional tax bar association to make it an
effective, vibrant and vigorous organization. Later, with unanimous consent of
the participant, a representative body for the year 2017 was formulated. The
new body include:- Mr. Javed Al-Samad as President, Mr.
Najam-ul-Zaman as Senior Vice President, Asim Ali as General Secretary, Mujahid
Bilal as Finance Secretary and Yaseen Kamran as Joint Secretary. Moreover, Rao
Anees-ul-Rehman from Bahawalpur, Ashraf Javed from Rahim Yar Khan, Rana
Ghanzafar Ali Khan from Lodhran and Hafiz Muhammad Arshad from Bahawalnagar
were elected as vice president to represent the each district while Chaudhry
Muhammad Aslam, Muhammad Siddique Chohan, Mian Muhammad Afzal, Mian
Aziz-ul-Rehman and Muhammad Khalid Ghazi were elected as executive members of
the general body.
