BAHAWALPUR(PR)Provincial
Census Commissioner Arif Anwer Baloch has urged upon the field staff engaged in
the census process to collect accurate data pertaining to census which is vital
to formulate effective and solid socio economic policy framework. He made these
remarks while presiding over a high level meeting to review census and house enumeration
campaign in district Bahawalpur, at the committee room of Deputy Commissioner
Bahawalpur, on Saturday. The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner
Bahawalpur Rana Muhammad Saleem Afzal, Joint Census Commissioner Akber Ali
Dogar, Cantonment Executive Officer Zafar Mahmood, Assistant Commissioner
Bahawalpur City Rao Tasleem Akhter, Assistant Commissioner Yazman Shakeel
Ahmad, Assistant Commissioner Ahmadpur East Abdul Rauf Maher, Assistant
Commissioner Bahawalpur Sadar Husnain Khalid Sanpal and other officers and
officials of the concerned departments.
The
meeting reviewed in detail about different matters pertaining to census and
house enumeration process and the performance of the field staff in this
regard.
“Census
and House enumeration field staff should wear symbolic jackets and display
their CNIC cards for their proper and adequate identification for public which
is essential to seek the cooperation of the concerned population”, Provincial
Census Commissioner Arif Anwer Baloch noted.

Baloch further directed the concerned authorities to ensure the payment of
honorarium to the field staff within the stipulated time period. The meeting
was briefed that census and house enumeration process was underway and the
target fixed in this regard would be met.
