                       BAHAWALPUR(PR) Provincial Minister for Cooperative Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar has said that Pakistan Day warrants to pledge again to fully adhere to the vision of founding fathers by mobilizing all available resources to turn Pakistan into a liberal, progressive and modern welfare state. He made these remarks while speaking as a Chief Guest at a ceremony held in connection with "Pakistan Day Celebrations" organized by District Administration Bahawalpur, at the auditorium of Quaid-e-Azam Medical College Bahawalpur.

                The ceremony was attended by Deputy Commissioner Bahawalpur Rana Muhammad Saleem Afzal, MNA Begum Perveen Masood Bhatti, MPA Fouzia Ayub Qureshi, MPA Haseena Naz, Mayor Bahawalpur Aqeel Najam Hashmi, Chairman District Council Bahawalpur Shaikh Dilshad Ahmad, District Police Officer Bahawalpur Ashfaq Ahmad Khan, Assistant Commissioner Bahawalpur City Rao Tasleem Akhter, Secretary District Regional Transport Authority Muhammad Tayyab, Assistant Commissioner Abdul Rauf, students of various educational institutions, teachers, government employees, civil society representatives and a large number of notables related to different walks of life.

The ceremony was addressed by Deputy Commissioner Bahawalpur Rana Muhammad Saleem Afzal, MNA Begum Perveen Masood Bhatti, MPA Fouzia Ayub Qureshi, MPA Hasina Naz, Chairman District Council Bahawalpur Shaikh Dilshad Ahmad and Mayor Bahawalpur Aqeel Najam Hashmi.

                                “Pakistan Day stands as defining moment in the history of Muslims of subcontinent when through Pakistan resolution a new political and constitutional struggle was launched to establish an ideological Muslim State”, Provincial Minister Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar noted.

                                Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar further said that under the visionary leadership of Quaid-e-AZam Muhammad Ali Jinnah dream of creating a new Muslim state turned into a living reality when Pakistan came into being just in 7 years democratic and political struggle as the first ever ideological state on the map of the world.

                                “Under the dynamic and visionary leadership of Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister Punjab Mohammad Shahbaz Sharif Pakistan was rapidly making progress which would pave the way for sustainable peace, progress and prosperity for the people of Pakistan”, Provincial Minister Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar noted.

                                Provincial Minister Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar further said that it is our collective responsibility to extend state of the art facilities to our youth to impart them modern knowledge and equip them with the latest technology which would enable them to shape the destiny of the nation. He hoped that our talented, energetic and dedicated youth would play their role with dedication and commitment to perform their duties to meet the future socio economic challenges by making Pakistan a strong and vibrant modern state. Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar paid rich tribute to the services of farmer Nawab of Bahawalpur who provided financial, moral and political support to the nascent Muslim state which enabled our founding fathers to meet the socio economic challenges at the inception of our motherland.

                                Deputy Commissioner Bahawalpur Rana Muhammad Saleem Afzal said that Pakistan’s creation is a political miracle. He further said that under the visionary leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah our forefathers' democratic struggle created our homeland. He further said that to adhere to the ideals of our forefathers it is imperative that we all must play our role with acute sense of responsibility to turn Pakistan into a welfare state.

                                MNA Begum Perveen Masood Bhatti said that Pakistan Muslim League has the unique honour to be the creator of Pakistan. She further said that Pakistan Muslim League under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif was fully committed to strengthen Pakistan’s economic and industrial foundations which would enable it to extend state of the art health and educational cover to the Pakistani people.

                                Mayor Bahawalpur Aqeel Najam Hashmi maintained that our identity is linked with our Motherland. He further said that it is our collective responsibility to pledge on this historic day to play our role to accelerate the pace of socio economic development. He urged upon all segments of society to teach our youth about the significance of "Pakistan Day" and the glorious struggle of our forefathers who gifted us our motherland by their unflinching struggle and sacrifices.
