Second meeting of  Syndicate  of Ghazi University Dera Ghazi Khan held

DERA GHAZI KHAN(PR)Syed Raza Ali Gillani, Provincial Minister for Higher Education chaired syndicate meeting of Ghazi University Dera Ghazi Khan through video link. This was second meeting of the syndicate which approved administrative, academic, fiscal and developmental steps taken by Prof. Dr. Qaiser Mushtaq, Vice Chancellor and praised improvement and uplift in every sector of the university under his leadership. The members termed these achievements significant for the newly developed university of the Southern Punjab. The members approved selection board and selection committees and recommendations of these bodies during recently held meetings. A committee was formulated to review rules and regulations of the University besides approval of two experts in each faculty board. The syndicate also approved membership of MPA Sardar Jamal Khan Laghari in University Finance and Planning Committee. On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Qaiser Mushtaq, Vice Chancellor briefed the participants about various steps taken in the university and apprised that due to extraordinary cooperation of federal and provincial governments, the HEC has approved historic mega project of Rs. 1570 million for the Ghazi University. Another project of Rs. 121 million also approved for construction of Student’s Service Center and IT Center. The Punjab Government is also considering to transfer land between two campuses of the university making it a one campus. Recently, city campus of the university has been repaired and renovated. The participants included Sardar Jamal Khan Laghari and Syed Abdul Aleem Shah Members Punjab Assembly, Dr. Muhammad Saleem representative of HEC, Mariyam Kiyani, representative of Higher Education Department, Nadeem Sohail, representative of Finance Department and Dr. Farkhanda Wajid while Registrar Prof. Dr. Najeeb Haider attended the meeting as secretary.
