One Day Workshop on CV writing
BAHAWALPUR(PR)Career Counseling Center conducted one day
workshop regarding “CV writing” on 19th March 2018 for the students
of Arts, Sciences and Management Sciences. The targeted participants were from
the final semesters of M.Phil. , Masters and BBS programs at GSCWU. This workshop was designed to show students how
to construct a winning CV and how to upgrade their interview
skills. Ms. Nosheen Malik, Manager Career Counseling briefly explained that
after attending this workshop students will be able to: Understand the aims of
the CV; Understand the different CVformats;
Understand how to write a personal profile; Learn how to include power words in
your CV; Understand the importance of
the covering letter; Produce a CV and cover
letter to impress a prospective employer. Dr.
Samina Malik, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences, International Islamic University,
Islamabad joined the workshop as resource person. She explained that CV is a
reflection of our professionalism. It needs to state quite clearly what our
achievements are so far. She further elaborated the contents of the winning CV,
differentresume format options, the advantages and disadvantages of using these
formats and also differentiated between CV and Resume through different group
activities and presentations.The activity was ended with the vote of thanks to
Dr. Samina Malik and certificates and shields were distributed among the
participants by the Mr. Muhammad Ali Wallana, Mr. Saeed Anwer and Madam Surya
Talat.
