BAHAWALPUR(PR)Provincial Minister for special education Punjab Mr. Asif
Saeed Minhes inaugurated a park of
"friendly user's swings" for special children. The park
which has been completed with a total allocation of Rs.10 million is situated
in the heart of the city near old campus of Islamia University Bahawalpur.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by DCO, Dr. Ehtashm
Anwar Mahar, EDO Community development Aftab peer zada ,DEO special education
Mrs Shazi Hashmat, Director Parks & Horticulture Mr. Qazzafi bin
shakoor,Chairman union council bilal baloch, teachers and children of the
special education school.
While speaking on the occasion Provincial Minister for
special education said that Punjab Government was fully committed to establish
a sustainable and comprehensive mechanism to extend realistic to special
children to rehabilitate them as a useful member of the society.
“Special children” would get enabled to fully utilized their
talent and potential to play their positive, constructive and tangible role in
pushing forwarded socio-economic developmental process by acquiring modern
education and skill both at normal schools and school made for special
children” The minister maintained. He said that the Punjab Government has
undertaken a project to provide education to the special children at normal
schools which has been operationalized at two districts of the Punjab:-
Bahawalpur and Muzafargarh. This project would be extended to as many as 11
districts to bring maximum number of special children in the mainstream
education network. Minister further said that the special children living at
for away distance from the schools would be provided vouchers with the
collaboration of Punjab education Foundation to facilitate them to carry on
academic carries.
Provincial Minister
underlined the need to adopt a holistic approach of inclusive, progressive,
developmental model to facilitate the special children by engaging
non-development sector to join hands with the Governmental efforts to ensure
decent living for the special children.
Speaking on the occasion DCO Dr. Ehtasham Anwar Mahar
appreciated the initiative of the Parks & Horticulture Authority Bahawalpur
for establishing a park for the special children in Bahawalpur City. Speaking
on the occasion DCO Dr. Ehtasham Anwar Mahar said that the comprehensive system
has been evolved to import different skills through various training programme
to the special persons and children to enable them to serve in different
departments to get maximum benefit from Punjab government initiative of Quota
of 3 percent allocated for the special persons. “A park equipped with modern
facilities for special children is inline with Government of Punjab's policy to
facilitate the special persons to live a normal life”.
The DCO said he paid rich tribute to
the officers of Parks & Horticulture Bahawalpur for their outstanding to
establish a park for the special children having the modern recreational
facilities. DO special education welcome the guests and inform audience about
various facility of the park which include: offered mechanical animal and
birds, green lawns attractive spring and
jogging track.

food ordinance
BAHAWALPUR(PR)A crack-down has been launched against the offenders of pure
food ordinance in which 23 raids were conducted, a fine to the tune of Rs. 25
thousand imposed and 20 kg un-hygienic and sub-standard food stuff was
destroyed.
Under
the directions of DCO Bahawalpur Dr. Ehtisham Anwer Mahaar two Assistant
Commissioners:- Abdul Rauf Maher of Hasilpur Tehsil and Jam Aftab of Khairpur
Tamewaly conducted raids to check the menace of adulteration and to ensure
supply of hygienic and high quality food stuff to the consumers.
Under
this anti-adulteration drive Assistant Commissioner Hasilpur conducted raids on
15 different food out-lets which include: - Restaurants; Hotels; Bakers, sweets
and Other shops. "On the violation of price control act and pure food
ordinance a fine to the tune of Rs. 55 thousand imposed upon the
offenders", Assistant Commissioner maintained.
Similarly
Assistant Commissioner Khairpur Tamewaly inspected 2 sweet shops namely Iqbal
and Chaudhry Sweets: - Iqbal sweets was sealed while 20 kg un-hygienic and sub-standard
food stuff of Chaudhry Sweets was confiscated and later destroyed. Besides,
Assistant Commissioner Khairpur Tamewaly also raided 8 different out-lets.
During
the inspection both Assistant Commissioners called upon the shopkeepers to
adhere to the directions and guidelines of price act and pure food ordinance to
protect the rights of consumers.
summer vacations commenced from May 24 to August 14 in Education Institutions
BAHAWALPUR(PR)Summer vacations commenced from May 24 to August 14 and
during this period all Government and Private Schools would remain closed. EDO,
education has stated that on Government of Punjab order regarding Summer
Vacations would be strictly implemented and inspection teams have been
constituted and have been tasked to check, monitor and report about the
violators of the Government policy.
"Violators
would be dealt with strictly and those institutions found violating the
Government orders will immediately be sealed", EDO noted.

services of late Ameer of Bahawalpur His Highness Nawab Sir Sadiq Muhammad Khan
Abbasi the 5th, a three days exhibition of historical books, pictures and
historical manuscripts was held at The Central Library Bahawalpur. Chief
Librarian Rana Jave Iqbal said that a large number of citizens and students
showed their keen interest in the exhibition.

issued directions in an open Kachehri held in Haroonabad.
HAROONABAD(By Iqra Aziz)Regional Police Officer
Bahawalpur Dr. Ehsan Sadiq has directed SHO Haroonabad to recover immediately a
missing police official. Besides, He has suspended a traffic police inspector
over laxity in performing his duties.
RPO
issued these directions during an open Kachehri which was held in Haroonabad.
"On
the occasion an old woman complained that her son who is a police official was
kidnapped a year ago. The concerned SHO has failed to recover her son and was
using delaying tactics", the lady alleged. RPO took strict action on her
complaint and sort report from the concerned SHO and directed him to recover
the missing person within 10 days.
On
the public complaints RPO suspended traffic police inspector as well. "Modern policing is linked
with mitigating "trust deficit" between citizenry and police and only
community policing can build bridges between all segments of society and
police", he noted.
RPO
maintained that the permanent feature of open kachehries is a practical
manifestation of community policing which brings citizenry and police together.
Later, RPO mixed with the participants. He himself went to the sitting seats of
the participants, inquired of their problems and issued directions on the spot.
Earlier
RPO Dr. Ehsan Sadiq issued stunning directions to launch strict crack-down
against all gambling and narcotics dens, brothel houses and called upon all
SHOs to wipe out these dens before the commencement of the Holy month of
Ramzan.
