Prime Minister has accorded approval of relaxing
developmental criteria for launching Federal Government projects for the far-flung
and backward areas of Southern Punjab:Ch. Jafar Iqbal
BAHAWALPUR(PR)Former Deputy Speaker National
Assembly and former Senator Ch. Jafar Iqbal Gujjar has said that Prime Minister
of Pakistan Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has accorded approval of relaxing
developmental criteria for launching Federal Government projects for the far-flung
and backward areas of Southern Punjab. This relaxation of developmental
criteria would further extend and modernize the social sector which would
ensure better social amenities for millions of residents of these areas. He
made these remarks in a press statement issued after his meeting with the Prime
Minister of Pakistan Shahid Khaqan Abbasi at Prime Minister House. He was
accompanied by former MNA and former advisor to Prime Minister Begum Ishrat
Ashraf, MNA Zaib Jafar Gujjar and MPA Muhammad Umer Jafar.
During the
meeting Ch. Jafar Iqbal Gujjar exchanged views with the Prime Minister
regarding various issues pertaining to different sectors of developmental
projects which include: - Enhancing the installation of Scarp Tube well in the
water-logging affected areas, Establishing special burn units, Modernizing the
health and educational facilities and upgrading the road infrastructure in the far-flung
areas of Southern Punjab.

Gujjar further said that Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi approved the
relaxation of criteria pertaining to Federal Government's development projects
which is aimed to accelerate the pace of developmental work to ensure decent,
better and comfortable social amenities to the millions of residents of
Southern Punjab.
