BAHAWALPUR(PR)Regional Police Officer Dr. Ehsan Sadiq has
said that a comprehensive and fool-proof security mechanism has been put into
place by deploying a contingent of 5185 police officers, officials and security
officials to extend a comprehensive security cover to as many as 1092 Masjids;
109 Imam Bargaahs; 30 Ramzan Bazars and 71 Madni Dasterkhawans in 3 districts
of Bahawalpur range in the holy month of Ramzan. He made these remarks while
presiding over a high level meeting of police officers of 3 districts to review
the security arrangements during the holy month of Ramzan.
Regional Police Officer Dr. Ehsan Sadiq called
upon police officers and officials to remain at high alert while performing
their duties by playing special focus both at vulnerable and sensitive places
to ensure both supremacy of law and to maintain congenial and peaceful security
environment in Bahawalpur Range. He directed police officers and officials to
keep a close eye on the movement of suspected elements in the vicinity of
Ramzan Bazars; Masjids; Imam Bargaahs; Madni Dasterkkhawans; Shopping Malls and
Trade centers.
"All entry and exit points of important
cities and urban areas should have special pickets of police officials to
effectively check to effective vigil on the movements of suspected elements who
might be a potential threat. Besides, all entrants at religious places should
be thoroughly checked by metal detectors by concerned officials posted at these
places", RPO underlined.
The meeting was briefed that the 5185 security
contingent to extend security cover during the holy month includes: - 2847
police officers and officials and 2338 volunteers. The meeting was further
briefed that both Masjids and Imam Bargaah's security profile has been devised
by categorizing them into 3 categories. Resultantly, out of 1092 Masjids:- 72
have been placed in category 'A'; 127 in category 'B' and 893 in category 'C'.
A contingent of 4217 of police officials and volunteers has been deployed to
extend security cover to these Masjids. Similarly, 107 Imam Bargaahs have also
been categorized into 3 categories:- 73 have been placed in category 'A'; 15 in
category 'B' and 9 in category 'C'. Besides, the meeting was further briefed
that 236 police officials have been tasked to provide security cover at 36
Ramzan Bazars while 155 security officials have been deputed at 71 Madni
Dasterkhawans in Bahawalpur Division.

Police Officer Dr. Ehsan Sadiq paid a
surprise visit at Ramzan Bazar at Khairpur Tamewali, district
Bahawalpur, yesterday. During surprise visit he thoroughly inspected the
security arrangements
made at Ramzan Bazar. DSP Khairpur Tamewali gave him detailed briefing
about
security arrangements in Khairpur Tamewali. During the inspection RPO
went to
different stalls and check both the quality of food stuff and the
concessionary
price regime which has been operationalize by Punjab Government to
extend
economic relief to the consumers during the holy month of Ramzan.

Commissioner Khairpur Tamewali Jam Aftab Hussain was also present.
PHA has started planting saplings

Parks & Horticulture Authority Bahawalpur has started planting saplings
of plants and flowers at different squares, green-belts and medians both to
up-lifting Aesthetic profile and to increase the green-full landscape in

Bahawalpur City from 26 to 29 Ramzan-ul-Mubarik. This was stated by Zonal
Khateeb Auqaf Department Bahawalpur.

provide both Flour and Sugar at Fair Price Shops where 20kg flour bag is
available at Rs. 620 while 10kg flour bag is supplied at Rs.290 at these Ramzan

BAHAWALPUR(PR)District Coordination Officer Dr.
Ehtisham Anwar has maintained that as many as 12 Ramzan Bazars established in
Bahawalpur District are extending economic relief to the consumers by providing
quality foodstuff at concessionary rates.
He made these remarks while presiding
over a daily review meeting regarding Ramzan Bazars in District Bahawalpur.
“Special arrangements have been made to
provide both Flour and Sugar at Fair Price Shops where 20kg flour bag is
available at Rs. 620 while 10kg flour bag is supplied at Rs.290 at these Ramzan
Bazars”, he said.
District Coordination Officer was apprised of that smooth and
sustainable supply chain has been established to provide Flour and Sugar
subsidizes rates at the Fair Price shops. He was further informed that as many
as 121 Sugar and 438 of Flour Bags have been distributed at different Ramzan
Bazars which include:- 25 bags of Sugar and 96 bags of Flour at Uch Sharif Ramzan Bazar, 25 bags of Sugar
and 107 bags of Flour at Ahmedpur Sharkia Ramzan Bazar, 19 bags of Sugar and 38
bags of Flour at Mubarakpur Ramzan Bazar, 60 bags of Flour at Ramzan Bazar, 13
bags of Flour at Head Rajkan Ramzan Bazar, 27 bags of Sugar and 109 bags of
Flour at Tehsil Khairpur Tamewali Ramzan Bazar, 25 bags of Sugar at Tehsil
Hasilpur Veterinary Hospital Road Bildia Chowk Ramzan Bazar and 15 bags of
Sugar at Phatak Rungilla Shah Chowk.
