Channer has maintained that Chief Minister Punjab's vision to extend economic
relief to the consumers has transformed into reality through the effective
operationalization of 318 Ramzan Bazars in 36 districts of the Province. He
made these remarks during a surprise visit of Ramzan Bazar at Yazman city.
During his visit, incharge, Ramzan Bazar, tehsil officer
finance, Muhammad Akhter briefed the Minister regarding availability of food stuff
by utilizing electronic weighing machines and effective implementation of price
regime at Ramzan bazar.
Provincial
Minister Co-Operative Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channer thoroughly inspected
different stalls of:- kitchen items;
fruits; vegetables; meat; chicken; flour and sugar and check the quality of the
food stuff and the price lists. While talking to the consumers at Ramzan Bazar
he inquired of both the quantum and quality of economic relief at the Ramzan
Bazar. The consumers expressed their satisfaction and thanked the Chief

Price Control Magistrates have imposed upon a fine to the tune of Rs. 1 lakh and 5 thousand upon profiteers in district Bahawalpur
BAHAWALPUR(PR)Price Control Magistrates have imposed upon a fine to the
tune of Rs. 1 lakh and 5 thousand upon profiteers in district Bahawalpur. This
was stated by Additional district collector Bahawalpur Ms. Imrana Ajmal while
giving briefing to DCO Bahawalpur Dr. Ehtisham Anwer Mahaar while in a report
regarding the performance of the ongoing drive against profiteering in the holy
month of Ramzan in district Bahawalpur.
The total fine of 1 lakh and 5 thousand by the Price control
Magistrates in different tehsils of Bahawalpur include: - Rs. 32500/- in tehsil
City Bahawalpur; Rs. 16000/- in tehsil Sadar Bahawalpur; Rs. 27000/- in tehsil
Ahmadpur East; Rs. 7500/- in tehsil Hasilpur and Rs. 7000/- in tehsil Khairpur
Tamewali. The report further maintained that an FIR was also lodged against a
profiteer in district Bahawalpur.

amounting to Rs. 2007 billion in the new budget of Punjab Government which has
registered an annual enhancement of 62 percent to the previous budget which
amply reflects Chief Minister Punjab's strong commitment and dedication to
modernize the health infrastructure which would enable million of citizens to
get state of the art medical treatment. She made these remarks in a press

The new educational budget envisages establishing early
childhood education rooms in as many as 10 thousand primary schools in 36 districts

BAHAWALPUR(PR)MNA Begum Perveen Masood Bhatti has hailed the educational
budget amounting to Rs. 312 Billion in the new budget of Punjab Government
which has registered an increase of 47 percent to the previous allocation in
the fiscal 2015-16 and termed it as a landmark initiative in the Punjab
government's budget for fiscal 2016-17. She made these remarks in a press
statement.
"The new educational budget envisages establishing early
childhood education rooms in as many as 10 thousand primary schools in 36 districts
of the Province which would serve as an intellectual catalyst to strengthen
educational infrastructure in Punjab", She maintained.

cost estimate of a missing facility project of Degree College Haroonabad

BAHAWALPUR(PR)Divisional Development working party has approved the revised
cost estimate of a missing facility project of Degree College Haroonabad
Bahawalnagar in its 13th meeting held at the conference room of Commissioner
Bahawalpur. The meeting was chaired by Commissioner Bahawalpur Saqib Zafar. The
meeting was attended by Director Development Munawar Hussain; Director
Information Rana Ajaz Mahmood; S.E Highways Mohsin Shakoor; Director Colleges
Doctor Mahmood-ul-Hassan and S.E building.
During the meeting S.E building briefed the chair about this
ongoing project and explained the rationale to enhance the current allocation
of Rs. 56 million to 71 million for the early completion of this missing
facility project of Degree College Haroonabad. Resultantly, the meeting approved
the revised estimation of this project which now stands at 71 million rupees.
Commissioner Bahawalpur Saqib Zafar directed the concerned
officers to expedite the developing work on this project to further strengthen
educational infrastructure of Degree College Haroonabad district Bahawalnagar.
