41 member  of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur left for Quetta to participate in Karwan-e-Yakjehti
BAHAWALPUR(PR)A 41 member contingent of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur left for Quetta to participate in Karwan-e-Yakjehti organized by the Higher Education Commission. The members included 13 girls and 26 boys students along with two teachers.  The delegation was given warm send off and Prof. Dr. Qaiser Mushtaq, Vice Chancellor, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur was also present on the occasion. He said that our students will join students of other universities from across Pakistan to express solidarity with brethren of Balochistan. He advised students to present Bahawalpuri culture and traditions in effective way during Jashan-e-Azadi celebrations in Quetta. The participants pledged to dedicate their efforts for unity, sovereignty and betterment of the motherland.

BAHAWALPUR(PR)Member standing committee for information and broadcasting MNA Begum Perveen Masood Bhatti has urged upon the youth to focus their energies to attain skill in acquiring modern knowledge which would serve as an effective safe guard to protect the ideological and intellectual frontier of the motherland. She made these remarks while speaking as a chief guest at Independence Day celebration ceremony held at Government Primary school Arabic Khanuwali Bahawalpur. The ceremony was attended by MPA Fouzia Ayub Qureshi, Chairman Union Council Malik Tahir, Teachers and a large number of students.

Female students must  adopt the women Heroes of Pakistan movement as a role model:Fouzia Ayub Qureshi

BAHAWALPUR(PR)MPA Fouzia Ayub Qureshi has called upon the female students to adopt the women Heroes of Pakistan movement as a role model who spare headed the relentless struggle to turn Allama Iqbal's vision of attaining Muslim nation state into reality. She made these remarks while addressing as a Chief Guest at Independence Day ceremony held at Government Girls Degree College Dubai Palace Road, Bahawalpur. The ceremony was attended by Director Colleges Professor Dr. Mehmood-ul-Hassan, Principal College Professor Nuzhat Nazlee, teachers and a large number of students.
"Our founder fathers braved all hardships and sacrificed their dear ones and by crossing the river of blood and gifted us an Independent Motherland, so, now it is our duty to play our role to protect our beloved homeland", MPA Fouzia Ayub Qureshi maintained.
She further said that modern era is entitled as an age of knowledge economy which demands highly skilled and sophisticated human capital which can only be formulated by acquiring modern knowledge. Therefore, she underlined that girl students should focus their attention to learn diversified and modern knowledge which would empower them socio-economically to become a vibrant, effective and decisive  factor to quicken the pace to attain the goal post of an egalitarian society.

Children Gala

BAHAWALPUR(PR)Children Gala was inaugurated here at Central Library, Bahawalpur. The main feature of the children Gala is an exhibition of books of children. The inauguration of children Gala was jointly performed by Chairman education board Bahawalpur, Rana Masood Akhter, Regional Director Allama Iqbal Open University Bahawalpur Khawaja Sabir Hussain, Principal CMH institute of medical sciences Bahawalpur, Dr. Tanveer Ali khan Shirwany and Chief Librarian Rana Javed Iqbal.
"Exhibition of children books would play a positive and constructive role to sharpen the pace to enlighten the young brains by shedding the lights of knowledge and wisdom which would illuminate the darkness of ignorance in our society", The speakers maintained.
Chief Librarian Rana Javed Iqbal briefed the participants that the children Gala is aimed to in calculate the habit of reading books by inviting parents, teachers and students to participate collectively at the children Gala.


Naat Khawani competition

BAHAWALPUR(PR)A Naat Khawani competition was organized in connection with Independence Day celebration by Population welfare department here at Bahawalpur. According to results:- Ali Zulqarnain, Muhammad Idrees and Matloob Hussain stood first, second and third respectively. DO Population welfare Syed Zeshan Arif and prominent religious scholars and others attended the ceremony.


Football match was played between divisional and district administration Bahawalpur eleven and Bahawalpur's Parliamentarian eleven

A football match was played between divisional and district administration Bahawalpur eleven and Bahawalpur's Parliamentarian eleven at the football ground of Sadiq Public School Bahawalpur. The match was won by 2 to 1 by divisional and district administration eleven. Divisional and district administration eleven was led by Commissioner Bahawalpur Saqib Zafar while Bahawapur Parliamentarian eleven's captain was Senator Saood Majeed.
Divisional and District administration Bahawalpur eleven include:- Commissioner Bahawalpur Saqib Zafar, DCO Bahawalpur Dr. Ehtisham Anwer Mahaar, Assistant Commissioners:- Rao Tasleem Akhter, Husnanin Khalid Sanpal, Rao Shakeel, Rana Amjad Ali, Waseem Anwer, Abdul Rauf, Tanveer Jhandeer, EDO Health Dr. Shahid Khaleeq and other officers.
While, the Bahawalpur Parliamentarian eleven include:- Senator Saood Majeed, MNA Ali Hassan Gillani, MPAs:- Afzal Gill, Dr. Syed Waseem Akhter, Mian Kazim Ali Peerzada, Adnan Farid Qazi, Ex-MPA Samiullah Chaudhry, Prominent politician Mian Raza Ali Peerzada, Munir Iqbal Channer, Mian Shahid Iqbal, Saad Masood and others.
Both teams have had a stiff contest: - First goal of the match was scored by captain of the divisional and district administration eleven, Commissioner Bahawalpur Saqib Zafar and equalizer was done by Senator Saood Majeed. The decisive goal of the match was scored by a player of the divisional and districts administration eleven which led to its victory. A large number of spectators witnessed the match.
MNA Mian Najeeb-ud-Din Awaisi gave away winning trophy to captain of the winning team, to Commissioner Bahawalpur Saqib Zafar and DCO Bahawalpur Dr. Ehtisham Anwer Mahaar while runner up team's captain Senator Saood Majeed received the runner up trophy from MNA Begum Perveen Masood Bhatti.
Additional District Collector Mrs. Imrana Ajmal, District Officers, officials of the sports department and a large number of spectators were present on the occasion.


Rasheedia Auditorium of Art Council Bahawalpur was  illuminated

BAHAWALPUR(PR)Rasheedia Auditorium of Art Council Bahawalpur was illuminated in connection with Independence Day celebrations. Resident Director Bahawalpur Art council Rana Ajaz Mahmood paid a visit at Rasheedia Auditorium to inspect the arrangements of the Art council .
