Shahbaz Sharif has accorded special approval for the construction of children complex and ring road: Iqbal Channer

BAHAWALPUR(PR)Provincial Minister for Co-operative, Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channer has said that Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has accorded special approval for the release of development funds for the construction of children complex and ring road from Railway Station to BINO cancer hospital at Bahawalpur City. He made these remarks in a press statement .

"State of the Art children complex would serve as a major state run health facility to extend state of the art medical treatment to the ailing children", he noted.

Minister Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channer said that ring road from Railway station to BINO cancer hospital would reduce the burden of traffic by providing an alternative road artery which would serve as a fast track transport facility for the residents of Bahawalpur.

"Both road infrastructure project and modern pediatrics health facility is a practical manifestation of Chief Minister Punjab's special attachment with the people of southern Punjab", he said.

Inspection of Revenue Record

BAHAWALPUR(PR)District collector Bahawalpur Dr. Ehtisham Anwer Mahaar would inspect revenue record of Patwaris and other revenue officials during his visit at different places of District Bahawalpur. According to his tour program:- he would conduct inspection of revenue and other relevant record at Hasilpur, Bahawalpur city, Bahawalpur Sadar and Ahmadpur East on 10th of August, 17th of August, 24th of August and 31st of August, respectively.

BAHAWALPUR(PR)District Co-ordination Officer Bahawalpur Dr. Ehtisham Anwer Mahaar has said that civil defense department has proved in-effective in checking the illegal re-filling of Gas cylinders and this highly dangerous activity is in vogue through the connivance of the concerned departments. Therefore, 5 special inspection and supervisory teams have been constituted in the 5 tehsils of the district Bahawalpur to effectively check this highly dangerous practice. He made these remarks while presiding over a high level meeting which was held at his conference room to review the arrangements to check the practice of illegal re-filling of Gas cylinders.

"To effectively check the illegal re-filling of Gas cylinders section 144 has been imposed which has made this illegal practice a cognizable and non bail-able offence which would serve as an effective instrument to stop this highly dangerous act in district Bahawalpur", he noted.

DCO vowed that the effective operationalizations of these 5 special supervisory teams headed by Assistant Commissioners would yield positive results in this regard.

Earlier, the meeting was briefed that a special crack-down has already been launched to check this practice by lodging 26 FIRs along-with arresting 25 accused involved in illegal re-filling of Gas cylinders.

MPA Muhammad Afzal Gill has called upon relevant quarters to prepare estimated costs of the proposed development schemes

BAHAWALPUR(PR)MPA Muhammad Afzal Gill has called upon relevant quarters to prepare estimated costs of the proposed development schemes for the fiscal 2016-17 in district Bahawalpur. He issued these directions while presiding over a meeting of district co-ordination committee. The meeting was attended by DCO Bahawalpur Dr. Ehtisham Anwer Mahaar, MPA Hasina Naz, former MPA and PMLN leader Samiullah Chaudhry, PMLN leader Mian Raza Hussain Peerzada, Mian Shahid Iqbal, EDOs of the Bahawalpur district and other officers and officials of the concerned departments.

DCO Dr. Ehtisham Anwer Mahaar while speaking in the meeting said that comprehensive planning was underway to devise master plan for constructing Sewerage system in all the tehsils of the district Bahawalpur. He said that Special program had been devised to promote sports at all the schools by reserving 2 periods for each class to provide sports facilities in a day. He further said that necessary sports gadgets and equipments were being provided to the schools by spending an amount to the tune of Rs. 4 million.

"From November to December both academic and extra-curricular activities would be conducted jointly while a period ranging from November to May would be solely devoted for curricular activities only", he noted.

DCO Dr. Ehtisham Anwer Mahaar said that schools Olympics would be held in the month of November as an annual feature.

Review meeting of the preparations of Independence Day celebrations

BAHAWALPUR(PR)A review meeting of the preparations of Independence Day celebrations in district Bahawalpur was held at the conference room of DCO Bahawalpur, here, today. Additional district collector Mrs. Imrana Ajmal chaired the meeting. The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Bahawalpur city Rao Tasleem Akhter, TMO Arshad Ghumman and the officer and officials of the Parks & Horticulture authority, Beacon House school, Women university Lahore, Lahore Grammar School, Government college of technology and other relevant departments.

The meeting was briefed that full dress rehearsal of Independence Day public parade would be held on 13th of August.
PHA has finalized the preparations regarding Independence Day celebrations in Bahawalpur City.

BAHAWALPUR(PR)Parks Horticulture Authority Bahawalpur has finalized the preparations regarding Independence Day celebrations in Bahawalpur City. This was decided in a meeting chaired by Director Administration PHA Rana Qazafi. The meeting was attended by Deputy Director PHA Abid Yaseen, Assistant Director PHA Rana Masroor, Assistant Director Marketing PHA Rao Jazib Saeed, Assistant Director engineering PHA Waseem Akhter, Sub engineer civil PHA Syed Ghufran and other relevant officials.

According to the program:-  PHA would participate in the public parade through its Independence Day flout which would be decorated with national flags and flower work. PHA would also decorate the city with attractive steamers, banners, hoardings and quotations of the founding fathers in Bahawalpur city. PHA would illuminate the city on 10th of August.

Sports festival

BAHAWALPUR(PR)Sports festival was in full swing to celebrate as a mark of celebrations in which various sports events were being conducted at Dring Stadium Bahawalpur. PMLN leader Raza Ali Peerzada was the chief guest on a volley ball competition here on Wednesday. Divisional sports officer Syed Mateen Ahmad and other sports officials were also present.
