BAHAWALPUR(PR)Regional Police Officer Bahawalpur Dr. Ehsan Sadiq has
said that enlighten dreams revitalize the intrinsic socio civilizational inner
fabric which boost both individual and societal psycho spiritual urge to have a
"Tryst with destiny" which pave the way for on egalitarian society.

keep alive the dreams for better tomorrow. He made these remarks as a Chief
Guest at a fare-well dinner which was hosted on the eve of his transfer by District
Police Officer Bahawalpur Sarfraz Ahmad Falki at police lines Bahawalpur.
The ceremony was attended by DPO Bahawalnagar, DPO
Rahim Yar Khan, DCO Bahawalpur Dr. Ehtisham Anwer Mahaar, Prominent
intellectual Syed Tabish Alweri, Principal Quaid-e-Azam Medical College
Bahawalpur Professor Dr. Haroon Khursheed Pasha, Chairman CPLC Dr. Rana Tariq,
prominent intellectual Habibullah Bhutta, Director Public Relations Rana Ajaz
Mahmood, Chairman Social work department Islamia University Bahawalpur Dr. Asif
Naveed Ranjha, Additional Commissioner Co-ordination Saqib Ali Ateel, Dr. Munir
Azhar and a large number of officers and officials of Police, Army and civil
departments.

Dr. Ehsan Sadiq noted.
Regional Police Officer Dr. Ehsan Sadiq said that the
modern era warrants a paradigm shift to have a community policing which may
mitigate the trust deficit between people and police, so it is imperative that
through the instruments of Citizen Police liaison committees and other
interactive forums interaction between police and civil society should be
institutionalized.
"To turn the vision of community policing into a
living reality certain initiatives were undertaken by the regional police
Bahawalpur which include:- operationalization of Victim response officers in 72
police stations of the Bahawalpur region, revitalizing the CPLC Bahawalpur and
operationalization of police hot line to ensure online access to the
complainants in Bahawalpur region's 3 districts", he maintained.
Dr. Ehsan Sadiq said that VROs through their commitment
and dedication resolved thousands of cases through arbitration which
discouraged the culture of mitigation and promoted peace and harmony at the
local level. He said that it is encouraging that the lowest crime rate has been
recorded during the current year which is the practical manifestation of the
dedication and commitment of the police officers and officials to wipe out the
menace of criminality in the region.
"Bahawalpur region is the seat of great Sufi
saints who spread the message of love and peace which is amply reflected in the
individual behavior of the residents and the value system of the society at
large. He paid rich tribute to the prominent personalities of Bahawalpur who
have excelled in the fields of academia, art, literature and other fields. Dr.
Ehsan Sadiq said that he would always cherish the wonderful moments which he
spent in the company of poets, artists, intellectuals, academics and media
persons of Bahawalpur.

regarding computerization of land record
BAHAWALPUR(PR)Commissioner Bahawalpur Saqib Zafar has directed the
concerned officials to revitalized their endeavor to resolve the issues
regarding computerization of land record, mutation of land by effectively
operationlizing the one window operation at computerized land record centers.
He issued these directions while presiding over a video link conference to
review the progress of land record management information system in Bahawalpur
division. The meeting was attended by Additional Commissioner Co-ordination
Saqib Ali Ateel, Additional Commissioner revenue, Qasim Siddique, DCO
Bahawalpur Dr. Ehtisham Anwer Mahaar, and by video link conference DCO Rahim
Yar Khan Zafar Iqbal, DCO Bahawalnagar Muhammad Azhar Hayyat and all Assistant
Commissioners of Bahawalpur division.
Commissioner Bahawalpur Saqib Zafar further directed
that CCTV cameras should be fully operationalized which should provide a direct
access to effectively monitor the working of these centers by office of
Commissioner Bahawalpur and the relevant District Coordination Officer in the
division.
The meeting was briefed that during the last 2 weeks
as many as 4237 cases of land mutations, 568 cases of assigned share of lands
while 198 cases of missing documents of land mutation were resolved in
Bahawalpur division. The meeting was also informed that the revenue officers resolved
53 cases of assigned share of lands, 915 cases of land mutation and 135 cases
of missing documents of land mutation in district Bahawalpur. Similarly, 466
cases of assigned share of land, 3245 cases of land mutation and 19 cases of
missing documents of land mutation were resolved at district Bahawalnagar, the
meeting was apprised. Besides, the officials of revenue department resolved 67
cases of assigned share of land, 77 cases of mutation of land and 44 cases of
missing documents of land mutation at district Rahim Yar Khan.
The meeting was given a detailed briefing that a total
number of 15 computerized land record centers were functioning by utilizing the
services of 279 officers and officials in the 3 districts of Bahawalpur
division. There were 6 computerized land record centers with 104 officials and
5 computerized land record centers with 87 officials and 4 computerized land
record centers with 88 officials were fully in operation at district
Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar and Rahim Yar Khan respectively.
The meeting was apprised of that to accelerate the pace of
disposal of cases at computerized land record centers it has been proposed to
establish 10 new centers of computerized land record in 3 districts of
Bahawalpur division which include:- 2 at Bahawalpur, 5 at Bahawalnagar and 3 at
Rahim Yar Khan district.
Supply of electricity would remain suspended

would remain suspended at feeder city I and city II of sub division Yazman at
7:30 AM to 11:30 AM from 6 August to 11 August on account of repair and
maintenance of the system. This was stated by Executive engineer operation

BAHAWALPUR(PR)Central library Bahawalpur has finalized preparations
for Independence Day celebration. This was stated by Chief Librarian in a press
statement here, today. According to program a 10 day children gala has
commenced with the joint collaboration of district government and central
library Bahawalpur.
Separate arrangements have been made for male and
female students at "Children Gala" while evening programs have been
devised for children and women.
From 12 August to 14 August a 3 day exhibition of
books and periodicals relevant to Pakistan movement while a seminar of entitled
as "Pakistan from 1947 to 2016" would also be held on 14th of August.
Flag hosting ceremony would be held at 9:00 AM at central
library.
