IMPLEMENTATION OF WOMEN PACKAGES IS CONTINUING: HAMEEDA WAHEED UD DIN  

LAHORE(PR)Provincial Minister for Women Development Hameeda Waheed-ud-Din has said that implementation of Women Packages is continuing in the province.

                   She was addressing a function arranged by Women Commission Punjab at a local hotel, here today. Provincial Secretary Women Development Department Bushra Aman, Chairperson of Women Commission Fouzia Waqar, Director Operations LRMIS Rao Nadeem Akhtar, Khawar Mamtaz, Tauseef Khatana, Farida Shaheed, Muhammad Salman, Advisor to Chief Minister’s Special Monitoring Unit Salman Sufi, first women Director of Punjab Judicial Academy Uzma Akhtar Chughtai and Usman Sheikh were present.  

                   Hameeda Waheed ud Din paid tributes to Women Commission Punjab for working on various projects for welfare of women. She said that some girls leave their homes due to economic and social problems as well as lack of education. She said that there is a need to change social mindset and to provide guidance to girls as well as their parents. She said that Women Development Department is arranging awareness seminars on the topic of honor killings. Hameeda Waheed ud Din said that Assistant/Deputy Prosecutors have been appointed in all districts for providing free legal assistance to women in the solution of their problems.

POTABLE WATER IS BASIC RIGHT OF CITIZENS—SHEHBAZ SHARIF

LAHORE(PR)Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif presided over a meeting, here today, to review various matters Saaf Pani Programme. The meeting decided to set up separate Saaf Pani Companies for south and north Punjab under “Khadim-e-Punjab Saaf Pani Programme”. Addressing the meeting, the Chief Minister said that Saaf Pani project is of basic importance for healthy life. He said that citizens will be provided clean drinking water at a cost of billions of rupees under “Khadim-e-Punjab Saaf Pani Programme” and high standard of this programme will be ensured. He said that with the establishment of separate Saaf Pani Companies in north and south Punjab, “Khadim-e-Punjab Saaf Pani Programme” will be implemented effectively and speedily besides timely utilization of resources of billions of rupees will be ensured which will help provide continuous supply of clean drinking water to the citizens. He said that access to clean drinking water is right of the people and no effort be spared for this purpose. Provincial Minister Tanvir Aslam Malik, Chairman Saaf Pani Company Muhammad Kashif Padhiyar MPA, Chairman Taskforce for Information & Culture Muhammad Maalik, Chief Executive Officer Saaf Pani Company and concerned authorities attended the meeting.

Under Women Package 2016 two  women have been appointed as Assistant/Deputy Prosecutor in each district for providing free legal assistance to women:Hameeda Waheed ud Din

                      LAHORE(By our Bureau Chief) Provincial Minister for Women Development Hameeda Waheed ud Din has said that under Women Package 2016, two focal persons preferably women have been appointed as Assistant/Deputy Prosecutor in each district for providing free legal assistance to women for resolving their problems.

According to a notification, Nuzhat Bashir has been appointed as DPG and Umm-ul-Baneen as DDPP for Lahore High Court Lahore. Ch. Zubair Ahmed Farooq as APG and Mirza Muhammad Usman as DPG for Lahore High Court, Rawalpindi Bench Rawalpindi, Shaukat Ali Ghauri as APG and Ch. Muhammad Akbar as DGP for Lahore High Court Multan Bench, Multan while Malik Muhammad Latif as DPG and Khalid Pervaiz as DPG for Lahore High Court Bahawalpur Bench, Bahawalpur.

    Similarly, Sajida Riaz has been appointed as DDPP and Ms. Iman Haider as ADPP Okara, Saima Ambreen as ADPP and Mrs. Shagufta Sarwar as ADPP Muzaffargarh, Naghmana Shabbir ADPP and Miss Asma Iqbal as ADPP Rawalpindi, Miss Saima Riaz ADPP and Miss Naila Amjad as ADPP Hafizabad.  Mr. Arslan as ADPP Toba Tek Singh, Muhammad Moin Ali as ADPP and Nafeea Bhatti as ADPP Sheikhupura.
