BAHAWALPUR(PR)MPA Fouzia Ayub Qureshi inaugurated a sewerage and laying of tough tiles project which has been completed with the total spending of Rs. 1.4 million at street No. 1 Islami Colony, Habibullah town.

At inaugural ceremony PMLN workers which include:- Chairman union council Dr. Afzal, Captain Rao Nisar Ahmad, Mian Faisal Mukhtar, Malik Ayaz, Malik Tariq and Tasleem Siddique were also present.

Advisor to Federal Ombudsman Colonel (R) Baqir has called upon the complainants to bring pictorial evidence of overbilling

BAHAWALPUR(PR)Advisor to Federal Ombudsman Colonel (R) Baqir has called upon the complainants to bring pictorial evidence of overbilling pertaining to WAPDA and Sui Northern Gas to ensure quick redressal of their complaints. He issued these directions while hearing various complaints regarding Federal departments, here, at the regional office of Provincial Ombudsman on Monday.

The hearings of as many as 25 cases pertaining to complaints of overbilling by MEPCO and Sui Northern Gas was conducted by the Advisor of Federal Ombudsman. The Advisor directed MEPCO to extend economic relief to the tune of Rs. 55 thousand to 2 complainants, besides, reducing as many as 3847 excess units by MEPCO, to provide relief to the complainants. Similarly, MEPCO assured the Advisor on the complaint of a resident of Lodhran to install two electric poles. Similarly, the Advisor directed MEPCO to extend economic relief to a complainant of Liaqatpur who was forced to pay TV fee by the officials of MEPCO for the last 2 years.

The next hearing pertaining to complaints regarding Federal departments would be held on September 8th at the regional office of Provincial Ombudsman.
