BAHAWALPUR(PR)Punjab Government in its strident Anti-Terrorist derive has arrested One Lac and Five thousands accused involved in various Anti-State Crime including spreading hate literature, possessing illicit arms, delivering hateful speeches which is aimed to decimate the multihydra monster of extremism and terrorism which would lead to sustainable peace and tranquility in the country. This was stated by Regional Director Information Rana Ajaz Mahmood.
While speaking as a panelist at a live broadcast private radio channel on the eve of International Peace Day.
The Programme was conducted by Riaz Ahmed Baloch while panelists were prominent intellectual Pro. Dr. Shahzad Ahmed Rana and a leading sociologist Zulqarnain Jatoi.
"Under the vibrant visionary and brave leader of Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, Punjab Government has evolved a sustained and effective strategy by establishing Anti-Terrorist force, Counter Terrorism Department, Scientific Forensic Lab along with new legislation to lighten the noose around the neck of terrorist forces which is practically manifested in the reducing of the quantum Act of terrorism in 2016 vis-a-vis the last year" Director, Rana Ajaz Mahmood maintaind.
These bold measures against terrorism under leadership of Chief Minister Punjab would lead to turn the dream of terrorism free and peaceful society to a living realty, he further said.
Professor Dr. Shahzad Ahmed Rana in his comments maintain that while implementing National Action Plan, Punjab Government has sharpened its vigil on the monitory facilitator of terrorists and by evolving new Anti-Terrorist Institutions has lodged 93 cases, arrested 123 facilitators and 25 accused have been awarded punishment by the courts.
Dr. Shahzad said that Punjab Government's dedication and commitment in fully implementing the National Action Plan has yielded positive results which is highly appreciable. He paid rich tribute to the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Punjab for wiping-out the menace of terrorism which would hasten the march toward sustainable peace in Punjab.
For peaceful society Punjab Government has introduced Smart Card Weapon Licenses by introducing computerization of Weapon licenses through NADRA which would serve to have a solid check on possessing illicit Arms. He envisioned that the measures would help in establishing a peaceful society.

BAHAWALPUR(PR)Commissioner Bahawalpur Division Saqab Zafar has urged upon Religious leaders, opinion makers and all stakeholders to play their constructive and positive role to ensure sustainable peace and tranquility by promoting the interfaith coordination and harmony during the Holy month of Muram-ul-Haram in Bahawalpur Division.
He directed the DCOS and DPOS to ensure effective close and vibrant coordination with the Ulma-i-Ikram by revitalizing the peace committees at the gross-rote level during the holy month of Muram-ul-Haram.
He further directed to the concerned officials to finalize all the arrangements to ensure peace and tranquility during holy Ashra-ul- Muram-ul-Haram in the three districts of Bahawalpur Division.
He made these remarks while presiding over a high level meeting to review the arrangements for Muram-ul-Haram in Bahawalpur Division which was held in his conference room.
The meeting was attended by MNA Sabiha Nazeer, MPA Maiza Hameed Gujjar, MPA Azhar Laghari, Acting Regional Police Officer Gohar Mushtaq Bhtta, DCO Bahawalpur Dr. Ehtasham Anwar Mahar, DCO Rahim Yar Khan Capt. Bahawalpur Police has constituted a security cover of 9500 officers and officials in Bahawalpur durinh Moharam
BAHAWALPUR(PR)Acting RPO Bahawalpur Gohar Mushtaque Bhutta said in the meeting that Bahawalpur Police has constituted a security cover of 9500 officers and officials which would extend security cover to as may all 1410 Majalis Shora and 516 Morning Processions in Bahawalpur. He further said that all police officials has been directed to revitalize peace committees at district, Tehsils and Police Stations level by establishing close coordination with Ulma-i-Ikram.
All the three DPOS and DCOS briefed the meeting about various administration measures to ensure the peace and tranquility during Muram-ul-Haram.
