Ms. Mehwish Bari PhD Scholar is going to defend her PhD dissertation on Monday 26 September
BAHAWLPUR(PR)Ms. Mehwish Bari, PhD Scholar, department of Mathematics, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur is going to defend her PhD dissertation on Monday, 26 September 2016 at 10:00 am in the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science, Baghdad ul Jadeed Campus. She has completed her PhD dissertation under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ghulam Mustafa, Department of Mathematics, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. The topic of her dissertation is “Stationary and non-stationary subdivision schemes and their applications”. Dr. Muhammad Ashad, Assistant Professor, Department of Applied Sciences, National Textile University, Faisalabad and Dr. Muhammad Faheem Khan, Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematics, University of Sargodha, Sargodha will act as external examiners. The teachers, MPhil and PhD Scholars are invited to attend the defense.

BAHAWALPUR(PR)Provincial Minister for cooperative & Chairman Cholistan Development Authority Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channer has said that Punjab Government has allocated a massive development budget of 147 billion rupees for sustainable development in the field of various agriculture sectors which would boost agriculture, livestock, fisheries and forest to effectively meet the challenges of food security. This huge development budget envisages providing modern transport facilities to the officials of agriculture department to extend better services to the farmers in the far flung areas. He made these remarks while speaking as a Chief Guest at the ceremony to distribute motorbikes among the field assistants of Bahawalpur district. The ceremony was attended by EDO agriculture Chaudhry Tanveer Ahmad, DO agriculture Muhammad Irfan Cheema, Deputy District Officer Hafiz Muhammad Shafiq, agriculture scientist Chaudhry Bashir Ahmad, officers of the agriculture department, field assistants and other officers and officials of the concerned departments.
"Better mobility through motorbikes would enable the field assistants to provide guidance and necessary training to the farmers which would enhance farmer's technical skill in the field of agriculture", Provincial Minister Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channer noted.
He further maintained that modern agro technical skill would help the farmers to utilize in a better way the agro equipments, proper use of seeds, pesticides and fertilizers which would help increase per acre yield which would bring prosperity not only to the peasants and farmers but would streamline the agro based economy on modern lines.
EDO agriculture Bahawalpur Chaudhry Tanveer Ahmad briefed the Provincial Minister Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channer that motorbikes were being provided to the field assistants in each union council which is aimed to promote close interaction between farmers and field assistants.
