Graceful ceremony on the occasion of Defence Day held at Bahawalpur Garrison

BAHAWALPUR(By ISPR) A Graceful ceremony on the occasion of defence Day was held at Bahawalpur Garrison in the honor of Shuhada of armed Forces. The Ceremony was attended by the families , relatives of the Shuhada , Civil, Military officers, Notables of the area , School Children and Media Representatives of Bahawalpur Region. Corps Commander Bahawalpur Lt. Gen. Javed Iqbal laid wreath and offered Fatiha at Yadqar -e0 Shuhada.
Speaking on the Occasion, Corps Commander Bahawalpur Highlighted the significance of Supreme sacrifices rendered by the Shuhada of the Armed Forces and paid homage to them. He also acknowledged the preseverance displayed by the families of shuhada and the support rendered by the Pakistani Nation.Relatives of Shuhada also spoke on the occasion and reaffirmed their resolve for the defence of the Country. In the end, Kins of Shuhada students of Schools, Colleges placed floral Bouquets at the monument..
On the occasion of Defence day, GOC Major General Amjad Ali Khan Khattak also laid wreath at the grave of Major Tufail Shaheed, Nishan -e - Haider and offered Fatiha whereas GOC Major General Saeed Ahmad Nagra laid wreath at the monument of Major Shabbir Shareef Shaheed, Nishan -e - Haider and offered Fatiha.
