Iqbal Channer has said that systematic and sustainable progress in the field of
information technology is vital to meet the colossal intellectual and
civilizational challenges. Therefore, Punjab Government has taken effective
measures to promote the culture of e-technology by establishing six thousand
computer labs in government run schools in the Punjab province. He made these
remarks while speaking as a chief guest on the launching ceremony of official website
of Government S.E college Bahawalpur. The ceremony was attended by
Principal S.E College Professor Dr. Haji Wali Muhammad, Chairman Statistics
department Dr. Shakir Ali Ghazali, Director Arid zone, Professor Mashkoor
Hassan Rizvi, Professor Dr. Muhammad Tahir, Chairman Union Council Bilal
Baloch, teachers and a large number of students.
"The third millennium
has been termed as the millennium of knowledge which is practically manifested
through the unprecedented quantum and quality of knowledge through the
systematic and rapid transformation of IT based communicative mechanism which
has shrunk the world into global village", Provincial Minister Malik
Muhammad Iqbal Channer noted.

Muhammad Iqbal Channer said that as conscientious and responsible citizen of
global village it is imperative that the transformation process to adhere to
e-business must be hastened to meet the intellectual challenges of the
prevailing post industrial society. He highly appreciated the collective work
of college students: - Muhammad Waqas, Muhammad Husnain, Omair Jillani and
Waseem Abbas for their dedicated efforts to launch the official website of
Government S.E college: - "www.secollege.edu.pk". Minister Malik
Muhammad Iqbal Channer said that this website would extend wide ranging
e-excess to the students and other relevant quarters to get required
information through this website. He also announced to install air condition at
the college hall of Government S.E college Bahawalpur.
Earlier, Professor
Saleem Imtiaz Lodhi and Professor Muhammad Abbas Bukhari apprised to the audience
about the extra curriculum activities of the institution.
BWMC official's dedication would place Bahawalpur as the first waste free city in Pakistan

Officer Bahawalpur Dr. Ehtisham Anwer Mahaar has said that Bahawalpur Waste
Management company's official's dedicated and committed endeavor for
maintaining high quality cleanliness and tidiness would place Bahawalpur as the
first waste free city in Pakistan. He made these remarks at the Eid Millon
Party hosted to appreciate the excellent services of the employees of the
Bahawalpur waste management company. The ceremony was attended by Managing
Director BWMC Naeem Akhter, Additional district collector Mrs. Imrana Ajmal,
Assistant Commissioner Bahawalpur city, Rao Tasleem Akhter, Sanitary workers
and other officers and officials of the Bahawalpur waste management company.
DCO Dr. Ehtisham
Anwer Mahaar highly appreciated the services of the officials and the sanitary
workers to collect offal of sacrificial animals during the three days of
Eid-ul-Azha which ensured a decent, pollution free and healthy environment in
Bahawalpur City. He further said that arrangements would also be made to
celebrate Easter, Christmas, and Holi along-with Eid millon parties. He paid
rich tribute to the leadership of Managing Director of Bahawalpur Waste
Management company Naeem Akhter who despite his illness supervised the 72 hours
long cleanliness operation and led his team in a highly professional manner
with the acute sense of responsibility.

Collector Mrs. Imrana Ajmal and Assistant Commissioner Bahawalpur city Rao
Tasleem Akhter also appreciated the outstanding services of the management of
the Bahawalpur waste management company.
Managing Director
Bahawalpur waste management company Naeem Akhter said that at the start of
Bahawalpur Waste Management Company there were only 11 trolleys which now
stands at the fleet of 90 trolleys which would have an addition of 20 more
within the next two months. He further said that modern measures have been
adopted to ensure effective waste management by mobilizing all available
resources.
On this occasion
representative of sanitary workers Mr. James, representative of sanitary
supervisors Haji Muhammad Rafiq, Manager operation Imtiazullah Bhuttar, Manager
workshop Muhammad Waqas and Manager Information system Irfan Mahmood were
awarded honorary shields.
Besides, Managing
Director BWMC Naeem Akhter presented commemorative Souvenir to DCO Bahawalpur,
Dr. Ehtisham Anwer Mahaar.

Officer Bahawalpur Dr. Ehtisham Anwer Mahaar has directed Assistant
Commissioners of all the five tehsils of the district Bahawalpur to complete
the augmentation and repair work of the mourning processions on the eve of
Muharram-ul-Harram in district Bahawalpur. He issued these directions while
presiding over a high level meeting of Distirct Peace Committee at Circuit
House Bahawalpur. The meeting was attended by Acting District
Police Officer Bahawalpur Ghulam Murtaza Bhutto, District officer coordination
Chaudhry Amjad Bashir, Assistant Commissioner Bahawalpur city Rao Tasleem
Akhter, Secretary regional transport authority Tanveer Hussain Jhandeer,
Assistant Commissioners of concerned tehsils, Members of district peace
committee:- Sahibzada Riaz Ahmad Awaisi, Salahuddin Jillani, Muslim Qureshi,
Ehsanullah Rahat, Mufti Muhammad Abdullah, Mufti Irshad Ahmad, Ansar Abbas

operators to strictly adhere to the board of conduct to ensure religious
harmony during the Aashura-e-Muharram.
DCO urged upon
Ulma-e-Karam, opinion makers and all stake holders to play their constructive
and positive role in promoting religious tolerance interfaith harmony to
promote unity among Muslims during these holy days. Acting DPO Ghulam Murtaza
Bhutta also spoke on the occasion.
