BAHAWALPUR(PR)Provincial Minister for Cooperative & Chairman Cholistan Development
Council, Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channer has said that Punjab Government was fully
committed to modernize the socio physical infrastructure in Cholistani Area
which is aimed to provide decent civic amenities to the Cholistani people. He
made these remarks while addressing as a Chief Guest of a joint ceremony
organized by all Punjab Clerks Association and all Punjab Patwarian
Association.
"Chief Minister Punjab's socio economic vision envisions
to inclusive and participatory development paradigm which would usher a new era
of peace and prosperity in Southern Punjab", He noted.
Provincial Minister Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channer further said
that Government of Punjab has undertaken various initiatives in Cholistani area
which would bring positive changes in the lives of Cholistani people, which are
reflective of Chief Minister Punjab's special commitment to extend decent socio
economic cover to the Cholistanis. The ceremony was attended by Presidents and
Heads of Divisional, District and local units of all Punjab Clerks and
Patwarian Association and a large number of officials of relevant Associations.
CPEC would change the global trade and economic scenario :Begum Perveen Masood Bhatti
BAHAWALPUR(PR)MNA and member standing committee for Information and
broadcasting, Begum Perveen Masood Bhatti has said that CPEC would change the
global trade and economic scenario by placing Pakistan as a pivot of regional
trade connectivity. She made these remarks in a press statement.
"CPEC is a global game changer as it would connect
Middle East, Central Asians Republic, South Asia with Far East which has global
trade potential of more than 3 trillion annually", She noted.
MNA Begum Perveen Masood Bhatti further said that CPEC would
serve as a core corridor for this huge global trade communicative process by
placing Gwadar Port at the center of global trade radar.
CPEC would also bring an investment to the tune of Rs. 46
billion dollars which has a broad spectrum of industrialization by establishing
special economic zone in the vicinity of CPEC which would generate millions of
new jobs which would ensure solid and sustainable socio economic development in
Pakistan.
MNA Begum Perveen Masood Bhatti further said that Prime
Minister of Pakistan Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif's visionary leadership in his
previous tenure constructed Motorway and now CPEC's project was rapidly being
completed under the guidance of his dynamic leadership.

supply of electricity of Satellite Town Bahawalpur would remain suspended on
account of annual maintenance and repair from 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM on 8th of
September 2016.

Terrorists and PTI have a similar agenda:Rana Sanaullah
LAHORE(PR)Provincial Minister for Law Rana Sanaullah Khan has said that terrorists and PTI have a similar agenda as while terrorists want to create anarchy, Imran Khan is trying to destabilize the country. He said that there are security alerts about Lahore and Peshawar, therefore Imran Khan should postpone the rally for a few days.
He was addressing a press conference at 90 Shahrah-e-Quaid-e-Azam, here
today. Spokesman Punjab Government Zaeem Hussain Qadri was also present
on the occasion. Rana Sanaullah said that anyone could an easy target
of terrorists in an open space. He said that after Peshawar, Lahore can
be a soft target for terrorists. He said that on the instructions of
Chief Minister Punjab, provincial government has made effective security
arrangements for PTI rally. He said that searching will be conducted on
the roads leading to the route of the rally while participants of the
rally will be checked at three different spots.
The Minister said that police have issued threat alert letter to PTI
leadership according to which the programme of rally is a security risk.
He said that police have also made an appeal to cancel the rally
however more than three thousands police personnel will be deputed to
provide security cover to the participants. He said that in view of the
incidents of terrorism, Imran Khan should have been in Peshawar and
Mardan, however, he is making appeals to party workers of Punjab and
Khyber Pakhtunkhawa to take part in the rally. Referring to the
allegations of Imran Khan against the Prime Minister, Rana Sanaullah
said that Imran Khan should go the court or the relevant forum. He said
that it is an injustice that while Imran Khan will reach Shahdara by
helicopter and from there to his container in a bulletproof vehicle, he
will leave his workers at the mercy of terrorists.
43rd meeting of Academic Council of the
Islamia University of Bahawalpur
BAHAWALPUR(PR)The 43rd meeting of Academic Council of the
Islamia University of Bahawalpur was held under the chair of Prof. Dr. Qaiser
Mushtaq, Vice Chancellor at Abbasia Campus. On this occasion, approval to
establish various academic programs at Bahawalnagar and Rahim Yar Khan sub
campuses was given. The Vice Chancellor said that a congenial academic
environment has been provided at the university to flourish curricular and co
curricular activities across the campuses. The enforcement of regular semester
calendar and conduct of admissions from PhD to undergraduate level twice a year
are steps achieve education excellence. A comprehensive reforms package has
been launched to put academic, administrative and financial matters on right
track through a solid policy mechanism. He also stressed on need to implement
rules and regulations without discrimination at all levels so that educational
activities may continue without any hurdle.
