BAHAWALPUR(PR) The auction of redundant and useless material of Government
Dar-ul-Atfal (Boys) Islami Colony Bahawalpur was conducted. The
auction process has been undertaken under the directions of District
Coordination Officer Bahawalpur Dr. Ehtisham Anwer Mahar.
The auction committee was comprised of Senior District
Officer social welfare & Bait-ul-Mal Bahawalpur Chaudhry Ghulam Mustafa,
Chairman Auction committee & Manager Nigehbaan center Ishtiaq Ahmad, Social
Welfare officer Tahira Hafeez and Medical social welfare officer Bahawal
Victoria Hospital & Superintendent Dar-ul-Atfal (Boys) Islami colony
Bahawalpur Muhammad Asghar Shaheen. The auction receipts have been deposited in
the Government treasury.
D&SJ Rehan Bashir paid a visit at Borstle Institute and Juvenile Jail Bahawalpur,

paid a visit at Borstle Institute and Juvenile Jail Bahawalpur. On
his arrival a smartly contingent of police presented guard of honour to the
visiting judge. Later, District and Session Judge Rehan Bashir gave sympathetic
hearing to the problems and grievances of the inmate children and issued on the
spot directions to resolve them.
District price control committee has fixed the new prices of various edibles to ensure quality food items to the consumers
BAHAWALPUR(PR)District price control committee has fixed the new
prices of various edibles to ensure quality food items to the consumers at
affordable prices. The new approved rates would come into effect immediately.
This decision was taken in a meeting of District price control committee held
at the committee room of DCO Bahawalpur. District Officer Coordination
Chaudhry Amjad Bashir presided over the meeting. The meeting was attended by EDO
agriculture Chaudhry Tanveer Ahmad, traders and other officers and officials of
the concerned departments.
According to the new approved rates of edibles in
district Bahawalpur stands at: - Rice Kachi Basmati Rs. 90/- per Kg, Pulse
Moong Rs. 105/- per Kg, Pulse Masoor Rs. 116/- per Kg, white gram Rs. 150/- per
Kg, gram flour Rs. 150/- per Kg, Red Chili powder Rs. 190/- per Kg, Sooji and
Maida Rs. 42/- per Kg, Beef Rs. 250/- per Kg and Mutton Rs. 500/- per Kg.
District Officer Coordination Chaudhry Amjad Bashir
directed the price control Magistrates to sharpen their vigil to fully
implement the price rates of food items and initiate stringent punitive action
against the violators of price control act.
"Protection of consumer rights and to extend
conducive business environment for the trader community is the vital component
of Government policy to ensure the price control act", DOC maintained.
School education department has extended

education officers till 30th of November 2016. This was stated in a

Basket ball tournament
BAHAWALPUR(PR) A Basket ball tournament kicked off at the sports
complex of Government Sadiq College women university Bahawalpur.
The four basket ball teams of the University participated in this sports event.
Vice Chancellor, Government Sadiq College Women
University, Professor Dr. Tallat Afza was the Chief Guest at the opening
ceremony of the tournament. The ceremony was attended by Dean of education Mrs.
Naseem Khalid, Dean of Arts Salma Khan, Head of sports department Mrs. Nasreen
Kausar, In-charge sports Fareeda Nuzhat Bajwa and a large number of students.
The contestant teams of the tournament include:-
first year, second year and B.S. The basket ball teams of 2nd Year
secured first position while the teams of 1st year and B.S stood 2nd
and 3rd positions respectively.
Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Tallat Afza highlighted
the vital role of the sports for promoting leadership qualities in the youth.
She highly appreciated the talent and skills of the contestant in the
tournament. Later, she distributed the prizes among the students participated
in this tournament.
