When a guard/protector has become  a bandit at any sphere of life than what will be left behind the rest of society / Department. 

For example,  counterfeit medicines is an International / worldwide scourge,    the roots of which is so deep, inter-related  & mutually dependents on each other that's called MAFIA.   Now this growing menace become a horrible situation in Pakistan also and the problem of fake drugs has plagued our country for many years.   Indirectly this is a cold blooded murder of humanity.      

Counterfeit medicines not only take away precious lives, but also leads to the emergence of drug resistance. Here, it is pertinent to mention that currently,  there is lot of corrupt elements among the Regulatory Drug Inspectors who allowing this illegal trade to flourish without any hurdle by taking their "Monthly" or partnership basis.  

An average Pakistani house hold is spending 40 to 50% of their income on health care of their family but which are being provided with such counterfeit medicines by this way economic & moral damages sustained to consumers. Under the patronage  of the corrupt Drug Inspectors Mafia (culprits) of Health Department, there is fake, expired,  sex arousing, intoxicating and prohibited medic-ens are  available without  any fear of authorities  at every medical store  of city.  The counterfeit medicines is an acute and burning current issue in these days in our city Bahawalpur.  

Dear readers, in this respect I would like to share a shameless news through the esteemed column of this newspaper that the District Administration claims to have arrested a drug inspector for allegedly running an illegal medicine factory at Musa Colony Near Islamia University Baghdad Campus Bahawalpur, Assistant Commissioner immediately informed Health  Department Bahawalpur , but according to sources after lapse of several hours not any single official  visited the place nor any action taken against ATTIQUE-UR-REHMAN drug inspector  on official level  that's why Assistant Commissioner has sealed the factory and  illegally manufactured counterfeit medicines  amounting in millions were confiscated and the factory has also been sealed.

According to reliable sources that Atteq-ur - Rehman owner of the Illegal Medicine factory without having licence not only owner of  this factory but owner of  property of billions in different areas. Who is permanent  employee of Health Department  Punjab posted at District  Lodhran as DRUG INSPECTOR without any rotation in duty since long that's why he has been earning millions in every month under the umbrella of this morally corrupt Mafia and till date there is no heed.

Several questions  arises  in the mind of common man that by which capacity these corrupt elements are surviving who are brutally playing with the lives of citizens,  why the high officials of Health Department and Government silent on this grim incident which is open threat for everyone especially consumers using this type of slow poison.

In this regard I would like to request to Chief Minister Punjab Mr.Shahbaz Sharif that please look into this sensitive issue personally and   keep strict control / check over negligent persons  by enforcement of judicial process to eliminate this deathly game on the spot through proper activation of DRUG COURTS giving authorities for strict punishment and removing from job on the  spot  basis .   Besides this kindly ordered to Secretary health that he must pay frequent surprise visits  instead of sitting in his furnished office at Lahore as he has been taking millions in shape of salaries and allowances.
