BAHAWALPUR(PR)Chief Minister Punjab has allocated special funds to
the tune of Rs. 87.7 million for expanding educational infra-structure for
constructing 2 new educational facilities for the special children in
Bahawalpur Division which is aimed to extend modern education cover to these
children. This was stated by Provincial Minister for Cooperative Malik Muhammad
Iqbal Channar while talking to a delegation of special children, here at his
camp office,.
"Special education center at Bahawalpur Sadar
with the total development funds of Rs. 69.2 million and government special
education college in district Rahim Yar Khan were underway which would further
strengthen modern education infra-structure for special children",
Provincial Minister Malik Muhammad Channar noted.
Provincial Minister further said that Punjab government
has launched a special program to establish special education centers both at
District and Tehsil level in the 36 districts of the province.
"A special initiative has also been taken to
upgrade primary special educational centers to middle level while middle level
institute of training to the secondary level", Minister Malik Muhammad
Channar maintained.
He further said that a stipend to the tune of Rs. 800
to special children along with free books and transportation facilities and
accommodation were also been provided to the students by the provincial
government.

Bahawalpur has awarded punishment to an accused Muhammad Rafique son of
Muhammad Munshi to undergo life imprisonment twice along with forfeiture his
property under section 365-A read with
section 34 PPC and under section 7(e) ATA1997.
Police has registered an FIR No. 131/2015 against an
accused Muhammad Rafique son of Muhammad Munshi for abducting a trader Saeed
Ahmad and demanding ransom to the tune of Rs. 3 million.

Day jointly organized by department of social work islamia university
Bahawalpur and government dar-ul-atfal for girls at the institution. MPA
Fouzia Ayub Qureshi was the chief guest on this occasion. The
ceremony was attended by Manager Sanatzar Muhammad Shafeeq Tabassum,
Superintendent Dar-ul-Aman Saher Siddiqa, Deputy District Officer Social
Welfare Muhammad Uzair, Medical Social Officer Muhammad Asghar Shaheen,
Noor-ul-Ain, Faryal, Sadia Yasmeen and a large number of students. The
resident
students presented tableaus on this occasion. Later, MPA Fouzia Ayub
Qureshi
distributed gifts among the resident students.

week regarding road safety and prevention of road accidents under the
directions of Additional Inspector General of Punjab highways patrol. A road
safety walk was also held on this occasion. Special lectures related to road
safety measures were also delivered to the students of Jinnah College Model
town 'C' Bahawalpur. Furthermore, Mobile education unit of Punjab High way
patrol Bahawalpur region organized various public awareness programs regarding
traffic rules and road safety measures for the drivers at various places of
