                BAHAWALPUR(PR)Provincial Minister for Cooperative Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar has said that to turn Chief Minister Punjab's modern educational vision into practical reality massive funds to the tune of Rs. 312 billion and 80 million has been allocated to revamp the educational infra-structure in 36 districts of the province and one of the key feature to extend state of the art access to education as many as 10 thousand early childhood education rooms are rapidly being constructed in the far flung areas of the Punjab province. He made these remarks while speaking as a Chief Guest at a ceremony held in connection with international children day at a local school here at Bahawalpur.
                "Collective, tangible and sustainable state and societal cooperation is a key to open new vista of knowledge, research, creativity and innovation in the spheres of both physical and social sciences which would further strengthen the both supra and infra intellectual structure of the motherland", Provincial Minister Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar noted.
                Provincial Minister Malik Muhammad Channar further said that this modern intellectual infrastructure would sharpen the pace of socio economic progress which is the pivotal aim of Chief Minister Punjab's modern educational vision which bring sustainable peace and progress and accelerate the pace of socio economic progress which would extend decent socio economic cover to the millions of people of Punjab.
                Chief Minister Punjab's educational vision has put educational development progress at fast track which is aimed to extend inclusive developmental progress's fruits to the common people. Provincial Minister Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar further said that international children day provides us an opportunity to revitalize our collective endeavor to bring the special children in the socio economic main stream. To provide equal opportunity to disable special persons Chief Minister Punjab has allocated development funds to the tune of Rs. 1 billion to extend state of the art educational facilities to the special children. The ceremony was attended by Principal School Saima Saqib, Muhammad Bukhsh, Bilal Baloch, teachers and a large number of students with their parents.

6th inter district flood light hockey tournament was won by the girls hockey team of Bahawalpur
                BAHAWALPUR(PR)The 6th inter district flood light hockey tournament was won by the girls hockey team of Bahawalpur by defeating the girls hockey team of District Toba Tek Singh at Muteeullah Astroturf hockey ground dring stadium Bahawalpur. Bahawalpur's team scored 4 goals while girls hockey team of Toba Tek Singh netted 3 goals. The match was witnessed by Justice (R) Farrukh Mahmood, District Coordination Officer Dr. Ehtisham Anwer Mahar, MNA Perveen Masood Bhatti, MPA Fouzia Ayyub Qureshi, prominent political and social personalities Saad Masood, Dr. Ayesha Abdullah, Divisional sports officer Mateen Ahmad, DO sports Mahar Maqsood Ahmad, former Olympian Muteeullah Khan, Malik Yasin Motha and a large number of hockey lovers. Both teams displayed marvelous skills and the match remain in decisive in both the halves. Resultantly, the match was decided through plenty strokes. Later, DG sports Zulfiqar Ahmad Ghumman, MNA Perveen Masood Bhatti, Dr. Ayesha Abdullah and Saad Masood distributed trophies among the Winner team, Runner up team and the team which secured 3rd position hailing from Sahiwal.

               BAHAWALPUR(PR) Provincial Minister for Cooperative Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar has highly applauded the outstanding performance of girls hockey team of Gojjra which defeated hockey team of Sahiwal in quarter final of 6th inter district flood light girls hockey tournament at dring stadium Bahawalpur. He made these remarks while speaking as a chief guest at quarter final of the tournament. Divisional sports officer Syed Mateen Ahmad, District Sports officer Mahar Maqsood, former Olympian Muteeullah Khan, Tallat Masood Khan, Taimoor Sameen Khan, Malik Yaseen Motha, Malik Habib, Mian Muhammad Shahid and a large number of hockey lovers were also present on this occasion.

               BAHAWALPUR(PR) District Coordination Officer Bahawalpur Dr. Ehtisham Anwer Mahar hosted a dinner on the eve of Children literature festival at Noor Mahal Bahawalpur. The dinner was attended by Secretary Archives Ahmad Raza Sarwer, District and Session Judge Rehan Bashir, MD Oxford University Press Ameena Saeedi, Romana Hussain, Mrs. DCO Sara Ehtisham, Syed Nusrat Ali, Batool Nasir, Bela Raza Jameel, Director Public Relations Rana Ajaz Mahmood, Saad Jafri, Ziad Khan, Dr. Rana Tariq, Mian Usman Abbasi, Khurshid Haider, Ali Sheeraz, Members of National and provincial Assemblies:-  Mian Najeeb-ud-Din Awaisi, Shoaib Awaisi, Fozia Ayub Qureshi, Hasina Naz, Prominent intellectual Syed Tabish Alweri and Chief Librarian Central Library Rana Javed Iqbal.
                At the dinner a student novelist of Bahawalpur Anam Fatima was also invited who penned down 760 pages long novel in English at the age of 12. She read out a paragraph from her work on this occasion. Earlier, the delegation hailing from various cities visited various positions of the Noor Mahal who were briefed by the guide about the historical background of the Noor Mahal.

              BAHAWALPUR(PR)  Secretary Archives Ahmad Raza Serwer has said that sustainable and effective endeavor to promote literature for children is a key to build a vibrant, dynamic and splendid knowledge based intellectual infra-structure which is vital for establishing an egalitarian society and the holding of 3rd children literature festival at the historic central library Bahawalpur is the practical reflection of our collective sensitivity to promote healthy culture of book reading among the children. He made these remarks while speaking as a chief guest on the opening ceremony of children literature festival, here, on Saturday. He paid rich tribute to the special interest of DCO Bahawalpur Dr. Ehtisham Anwer Mahar for promoting cultural and literary activities in district Bahawalpur which would sharpen the pace of modernizing our knowledge based economy.
                DCO Bahawalpur Dr. Ehtisham Anwer Mahar in his address maintained that Bahawalpur's administration was introducing book reading from class 5th in all schools of the district which would institutionalize the habit of book reading among the students. He further said that "Oxford University press section" has established by the district administration at the historic central library which would extend reading facilities both for adults and children.
                MD Oxford University press Ameena Saeedi while speaking o the occasion said that Oxford University press has established Oxford teacher academy which provide training to as many as 50 thousand teachers annually regarding modern teaching techniques. She further claimed that Oxford University press attaches special significance to promote reading habit among the children.
                Prominent writer Romana Hussain gave detailed briefing about the main purpose of holding literary festival. A student of S.D High School Abdullah Tanseer presented a song written by Zohra Nigar and composed by Rakhi Jameel.
                On the first day a wide ranging activities covering various features were held which include:- tableaus by the students of various schools entitled "Bol kay lub Azad hain tairay" and on "Child Abuse". The first day also featured: - Story telling and story writing, puppet show, having session the role of books and libraries were also held.
                The opening ceremony was attended by MPA Fouzia Ayyub Qureshi, Khurshid Haider, Syed Nusrat Ali, Fehmida Riaz, Ameena Saeedi and a large number of students and teachers of various schools of district Bahawalpur.

BAHAWALPUR(PR)Minister of State for Higher Education and Interiors Engineer Baleegh-ur-Rehman has said that 3rd children literature festival would play a vital role in promoting intellectual enlightenment and revitalizing creating talent among the children which would create a vibrant human resource base to meet the futuristic challenges of the 21st century. He made these remarks while speaking as a Chief Guest at a ceremony in connection with the 3rd children literature festival, here at Central library Bahawalpur, today. The Children literature festival has been jointly organized by District Administration Bahawalpur, ITA and Oxford University Press. The opening ceremony was attended by Commissioner Bahawalpur Division Saqib Zafar, MPA Fourzia Ayyub Qureshi, MD Oxford University press Ameena Saeedi, Head of ITA Bela Raza Jameel, Director Children literature festival Romana Hussain, Syed Nusrat Ali, Khurshid Haider, Dr. Rana Muhammad Tariq, Anam Fatima, Fareena Fayyaz, Chief Librarian Rana Javed Iqbal, Mian Shahid Iqbal and a large number of students and teachers of various schools of district Bahawalpur.
                Minister of State maintained that friendship with books is the hallmark of every egalitarian society which practically reflects both state and societal endeavor to promote knowledge based polity. He further said that literature festival has provided a unique opportunity to the children both to meet the literary joints and to have the pleasure to listen to their literary work.
                Engineer Baleegh-ur-Rehman said that Government was mobilizing all available resources to formulate education policy through effective consultation of provinces.
                "Chief Minister Punjab has allocated billion of rupees by giving special funds for the schools of Southern Punjab in the sector of missing facilities at Government schools", he noted.
                He also announced that teaching of Holy Quran at Government Schools would start very soon in district Bahawalpur. He highly appreciated DCO Bahawalpur Dr. Ehtisham Anwer Mahar's initiative of holding of 3rd literary festival at Bahawalpur.
                Director CLF Rumana Hussain, MD Oxford University press Ameena Saeedi, In-charge ITA Bela Raza Jameel also addressed and highlighted various features of the literary fiestival. A large number of children read out stories from the various books on this occasion.
