Shan-e-Bahawalpur award 2016 is the first ever award to recognize the services of local heroes of Bahawalpur : Dr. Ehtasham Anwar Mahar

                BAHAWALPUR(PR)Commissioner Bahawalpur Division Saqib Zafar has said that great heroes shape the destiny of nations which sharpen the pace of March towards establishing an egalitarian state and society. Therefore, all great nations do recognize the services of their heroes who through their dedication and commitment bring grace and glory to both their regions of origin and nations. He made these remarks while speaking as a chief guest at the first ever award giving ceremony of Shan-e-Bahawalpur award 2016 to pay homage to the glorious and splendid services of the heroes belonging to Bahawalpur district.

                The Shan-e-Bahawalpur award 2016 was organized by District Administration Bahawalpur. The Shan-e-Bahawalpur award giving ceremony was attended by Minister of State for higher education and interiors Engineer Baleegh-ur-Rehman, General Officer commanding Major General Amjad Ali Khan, Senator Saood Majeed, Members of provincial and national assemblies' Begum Perveen Massod Bhatti, Fouzia Ayub Qureshi, Hasina Naz, Afzal Gill, Khalid Mahmood waran, Khalid Jajja, Mayor Bahawalpur Aqeel Najam Hashmi, Chairman Bahawalpur Waste Management Company Samiullah Chaudhry, DCO Bahawalpur Dr. Ehtasham Anwar Mahar, RPO Bahawalpur Muhammad Idrees, former MPA Mian Usman Abbasi, Tabish Alweri, Malik Habibullah Bhutta, Professor Dr. Shahid Rizvi, political and social leaders, teachers, Media and civil society representatives, students and other officers and officials of the concerned departments.

                "Bahawalpur district culturally and intellectually is extremely rich which has produced great sons and daughters who have excelled in the fields of sports, literature, performing art, medicinal sciences, social and physical sciences and in other socio cultural areas which is practically recognized by the district administration through launching Shan-e-Bahawalpur award 2016", Commissioner Bahawalpur Division Saqib Zafar maintained.

                Commissioner Bahawalpur further said that the heroes through their consistent commitment and splendid dedication play their positive and constructive role to enrich the human culture.

                "Recognition of the great services of the heroes by vibrant, vigorous and dynamic nations and societies do reflect the collective homage paid to their brilliant sons and daughters whose achievements do highly promote the positive and constructive socio cultural change", Commissioner Saqib Zafar maintained.

                He further said that the recognition of the services of our heroes is imperative for sustainable progress in the various fields of human endeavor. The our proud sons and daughters who excelled both at national and international level are the shining stars who stands  as beacon of light which beautify our societal, cultural and civilizational landscape and Shan-e-Bahawalpur award 2016 is the practical reflection to pay homage to their unprecedented services.

                Commissioner Bahawalpur highly applauded the glorious services of the award winning personalities and termed them as a bunch of flowers who collectively have beautified our socio cultural landscape and he congratulated all the award winning celebrities.

                "All the award winning celebrities do depict a success story which would encourage our youth to follow the foot prints of these towering personalities and they would also bring grace and glory to this wonderful land", Commissioner Saqib Zafar noted.

                Commissioner Bahawalpur announced that in all the three districts of Bahawalpur Division annual awards which include:- Shan-e-Rahim Yar Khan, Shan-e-Bahawal nagar along with Shan-e-Bahawalpur award would be launched to recognize the services of our heroes. He further said that more areas of human services would also be included in the next award giving ceremony. He paid rich tribute to the team of District administration Bahawalpur ably lead by DCO Bahawalpur Dr. Ehtasham Anwar Mahar for organizing such an historic event and congratulated them for their outstanding services.

                Earlier, DCO Bahawalpur Dr. Ehtasham Anwar Mahar in his welcoming address said that Shan-e-Bahawalpur award 2016 is the first ever award to recognize the services of our local heroes. He further said that this award giving ceremony had written a new chapter in the history of district through which right from young children to senior citizens' services have been recognized. He further said that Shan-e-Bahawalpur award giving ceremony would be permanent annual feature in the coming years.
