BAHAWALPUR(PR) Commissioner Bahawalpur Division Saqib Zafar has said
that in compliance of Chief Minister Punjab's directions special complaints
cells to redress the problems and grievances of the overseas Pakistanis have
been established in their districts of origins. District Coordination Officers
have been tasked to supervise these complaint centers in the 3 districts of
Bahawalpur Division. He made these remarks while presiding over a high level
video link meeting of the officers of the 3 districts of Bahawalpur Division to
redress the problems and grievances of overseas Pakistanis at his conference
room.
The meeting was attended by DCO Bahawalpur Dr.
Ehtasham Anwar Mahar, DCO Bahawalnagar Azhar Hayat, DCO Rahim Yar Khan Jameel
Ahmad, Additional Commissioner Revenue Saqib Ali Ateel, Additional Commissioner
Coordination Syed Waseem Hassan, Additional District Collector Nausheen Malik,
Administrative officers of the 3 districts of Bahawalpur Division and other
officers and officials of the concerned departments.
"Effective and result oriented mechanism has
been put into place which would mobilize all available resources to resolve the
various issues faced by overseas Pakistanis and
a comprehensive report would be submitted to Punjab committee of
overseas Pakistanis on regular basis", Commissioner Bahawalpur Division
Saqib Zafar maintained.
The meeting was briefed that as many as 45 complaints
were received and out of which 27 have been resolved while rest of the
applications are under process at district Bahawalpur. The meeting was further
apprised of that 24 complaints out of 39 have been resolved at district
Bahawalnagar while 36 complaints out of 66 have been resolved at district Rahim
Yar Khan while rest of the cases are under process at both the districts which
would be resolved on the priority basis.
