District Administration will install modern traffic signals at 13 different places of Bahawalpur City
                BAHAWALPUR(PR)District Administration would undertake a development plan to the tune of 12.9 M to install modern traffic signals at 13 different places of Bahawalpur City. The new traffic management project would stream line the city traffic in modern scientific line.
                Assistant Commissioner city Rao Tasleem Akhtar inspected 13 indentified places for installing traffic signals which includes:- City Hotel Chowk, Model Town C ; Lari Adda Chowk (Non A C ); Zoo square; Library Chowk; Suhail Shaheed Chowk (Noor Mahal Road); NLC Chowk; Gulberg Chowk (Model Town A), Welcome Chowk; Model Town Chowk; Dubai Chowk, DC office Chowk, Saddar Pulli & One unit Chowk.
                "New traffic management system in Bahawalpur City has been under taken under the direction of Commissioner Bahawalpur Division Cap. (Ret.) Saqib Zafar which would further stream line the flow of traffic" Rao Tasleem maintained.
                Rao Tasleem further said that the 13 places identified places would be expanded and slip road would also be constructed. He was accompanied by DSP Traffic, Director Bahawalpur Development Authority and other relevant officials.
 Sami-Ullah Chaudhry has highly up lauded the choice of Mr. Aqeel-un-Najam Hashmi by the leadership of PMLN as Mayor of Bahawalpur City

               BAHAWALPUR(PR) Chairman Bahawalpur Waste Management Company Sami-Ullah Chaudhry has highly up lauded the choice of Mr. Aqeel-un-Najam Hashmi by the leadership of Muslim League N as Mayor of Bahawalpur City. He made these remarks while felicitating the new mayor during a meeting with Mr. Aqeel-un-Najam Hashmi. He thanked Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif & Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif for nomination of Mr. Aqeel-un-Najam Hashmi whose political career is enshrined with dedications and commitment to serve the people. Chairman BWMC was accompanied by Managing Director BWMC Muhammad Naeem Akhtar, Chairman UC 19 Syed Abdul Mueed Shah Bukhari & officials of the Bahawalpur Waste Management Company Bahawalpur.

District Population Welfare departmen has been extending medical & other relevant facilities r through the operationalization of 68 Populations welfare centers
               BAHAWALPUR(PR) Bahawalpur District Population Welfare department, Bahawalpur has been extending medical & other relevant facilities regarding population  welfare through the operationalization of 68 Populations welfare centers by utilizing the services of 52 Social Mobilizer at the grass root level. This was stated by DPWO Syed Zeshan Arif while presiding over a high level meeting. The meeting was attended by Deputy District Populations Welfare office Muhammad Idrees, Chief Medical officer Dr. Fozia Saeed, Dr. Hafza Rehman & other relevant officers.

   BAHAWALPUR(PR) Department of environmental protection Bahawalpur staged a walk to raise public awareness regarding Waste Management. The walk was jointly organized by department of environment protection & BVH Bahawalpur. The walk was lead by District Officer environment Protection Aamir Irshad Rehmani. The walk started from Central Library and ended at Bahawal Victoria Hospital, Bahawalpur. The walk was attended by Inspector environment Waheed Murad Lahsari, Ansar Abbas Sayal, Yousaf Nadeem, and members of civil Society.

Promotion of sports is a priority agenda of Punjab government:Syed Raza Ali Gillani

LAHORE(PR)Provincial higher education minister Syed Raza Ali Gillani has said that promotion of sports is a priority agenda of Punjab government, and added that a plan has been envisaged to hold sports activities in higher education institutions twice a year.
He was addressing the concluding ceremony of CM Punjab National JU-JITSU and Belt Wrestling Championship, 2016 at Nishter Gymnasium, Qaddafi Stadium today. The championship was attended by players coming from different provinces, as well as Pak army and other institutions.
The minister said that role of sports is very important in building a healthy society. It also develops sportsman-spirit in the players and also gives them the lessons of tolerance and hard work to excel in life. He said that a committee has been constituted to design roadmap for promoting sports in private and public sector colleges who were being encouraged to take active part in sports activities.
The minister commended that a large number of women players have taken part in the championship, and termed it as a healthy sigh of women-empowerment.
He asked the youth to give priority to the service to their motherland as it is our country Pakistan that always welcomes the expatriates and gives them all the love and affection which is not found elsewhere in the world. He observed that sports develop healthy youth who steer the country to new developments with their strong passion and hard works.
Earlier, the minister Raza Gillani, along with other dignitaries, distributed medals among the winning players. The organizers thanked the chief minister Punjab for providing free of cost gymnasium, along with other support, to hold this national championship amicably.
